We will seize the opportunity to savor the vibrant flavors and hues of Costa Rica, immersing in the exploration of traditional Costa Rican dishes, as we stroll through the bustling streets of Jaco town, particularly its lively epicenter.
In a typical tour we’ll experience the distinctive street dish known as 'caldosas,' an intriguing blend of corn chips and Costa Rican ceviche.
Our culinary journey will then lead us to a traditional local bar, where we'll relish the refreshing and smooth notes of a traditional 'Michelada' beer, and if we're lucky we might get a free “gallito” from the bar.

Next we will go to a beautiful restaurant to enjoy an amazing dish that includes typical ingredients from Costa Rica, such as palmito and pejibaye.
We will leisurely stroll along the beach, later returning to the main avenue to engage in another typical Costa Rican beverage experience: 'el chiliguaro.' This unique shot combines Costa Rican moonshine with a special blend of chile and Tabasco.

Continuing our exploration, we'll meander back to the beach, taking a seat to relish the natural landscape and, if fortunate, witness a breathtaking sunset. Here, we'll be served the traditional dish 'Chifrijo,' a fusion of 'chicharrones' (a traditional way of preparing pork chops) and frijoles, expertly mixed in a bowl.
After savoring this delicious plate, we'll stroll back to the meeting point, making a final stop at the most popular ice cream parlor to indulge in 'Churchill,' a beloved and popular way of serving ice cream.

Josua was friendly and knowable about Jaco, its history, its customs, food and local murals. Our tour was 3+ hours and included everything that was stated. He offered suggestions for other activities and alternatives for our participant who didn’t care for beer. Great time

Josue was a great tour guide. He showed us where to try lots of great food in Jaco. He knew a lot about Costa Rica history and its food. We learned so much about CR. Josue took us to places we wouldn't think to find on our own. We tried many traditional dishes and ate a lot! He’s an amazing photographer as well LOL!

Fantastic food and a great experience all round. Josue was a wonderful guide. He took good care of us and gave us great insight into local culture, history and the foods we were eating. Some other members of the group were running behind and he was flexible and managed to accommodate them without impacting the other guests. Highly recommended.

What a fun time! Expected to taste some local food, but got so much more! Josue shared his breadth of knowledge and experience in Jaco regarding the food, culture, politics, history… all in an engaging and casual way. Made for a really fun and rewarding afternoon. Would highly recommend!

One of the best tours we took in Jaco. Joshua was a fantastic host, showing and explaining the food of Costa Rica and painted murals. We would certainly take this tour again. I recommend his tour to everybody interested in this cultural experience. Thank you Josue for the fun and informative tour.

This tour is nothing short of amazing! Josue is great and has taken extra care to curate a tour that showcases the highlights of the local cuisine in Jaco. Every stop was delicious. I also really appreciated Josue's knowledge and the bits of history he shared. I highly recommend this tour!
