First opened in 1927, the Chinese Theater has been the heart of many world-famous movie premiers, three Academy-Awards ceremonies, and currently seats 932 people. It's possibly the most recognizable movie-palace in LA and is the home of the Hollywood Celebrity hand and foot-prints tiles.
Stop At: Hollywood Walk of Fame, Hollywood Blvd at Vine St, Los Angeles, CA 90028
The Hollywood Walk of Fame is one of the most well known locations of Hollywood and LA. It runs over a mile along West Hollywood, and currently comprises of more than 2,600 individual stars of musicians, actors, directors, producers, and entertainment stars of every kind.

Pass By: The Viper Room, 8852 Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA 90069
While originally known as The Central, The Viper Room was opened in 1993 and owned by Johnny Depp and Sal Jenco. Since then, the club has been known as a popular hang-out and preferred club of many Hollywood Elite. It's mainly known as a music venue, but also beloved as a whisky bar.
Pass By: Capitol Records Building, 1750 Vine St Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA 90028-5209
Completed in 1956, the Capitol Records Building is a unique location in Hollywood. It is a 13 story entirely round tower like a stack of records on a turntable with a tall spindle. Capitol Records has worked closely with Frank Sinatra, The Beach Boys, and Paul McCartney.
Pass By: Whiskey-a-Go-Go, 8901 W Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069
The first American Whisky a Go-Go was opened in 1958, and known as one of the earliest, if not the first, American discotheque. It has been the launching pad of No Doubt, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses and many many more.
Pass By: Dolby Theatre, 6801 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028-6136
The Dolby Theater is now the center of the annual Academy Awards, and very close to the TLC Chinese Theater. It was designed specifically for the Oscars, and seats over 3000 people. Often when not hosting the awards it acts as a stage for televised stage-based shows like American Idol.
Stop At: Sunset Strip, 9040 W Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069-1851
The Sunset Strip portion of Sunset Boulevard has been a center of Hollywood Night-Life for over half a century, and the rest of the strip is lined with recognizable buildings and signs featured in many, many movies. It features world-class clubs, celebrity favorite restaurants, and entertainment of all kinds.

Based loosely on the French Royal Château d'Amboise, the Chateau Marmont was competed in 1929. It stands like a palace over the Sunset Boulevard. Originally it was built as a high-end apartments for the movers and shakers, and later converted in to a glamorous hotel. It was declared a Los Angeles Historical-Cultural Landmark in 1976.

In LA for a couple of nights so took the opportunity to book this tour. I was Fully expecting the run of the mill generic info on celebrity homes and major sites. How wrong we were. Ben and trainee guide Tyler took us to all the standard sites but also gave us background on what city was really like both good and not so good bits. Some good tips on travelling to and what to do when we move onto Santa Monica. He also took us behind the scenes at sites and acted as a photographer for the whole tour.
I felt the conversation was a two way process giving us the possibility to take in as much as we possibly could over the 5 hour personalised tour. I like to think he learned something about England, even if it was only that we have alternative food to fish and chips.
So if you want to have a good laugh and a decent conversation whilst learning where stars lived (and died). Get this tour booked via Kenneth who made the process very simple.

Had great time on this tour and since it was just my wife and I they were very accommodating to what we really wanted to see. This really is the tour to take to be able to fit in your specific priorities.

It has been over a week since we had our private highlights tour of LA and we are still constantly thinking about that memorable day. The MB van that we rode around in was super clean, comfortable and easy to get in and out of. Our driver, Benjamin, was awesome! He had a great personality, answered questions for us, and wherever possible did a little customization of plans along the way. We had a great half day private tour with Mika, we covered so much of LA in such a short time thanks to Mika's extensive knowledge of the city. We learnt so many interesting facts and got an up-close encounter withe the famous HOLLYWOOD sign! Great pics and a fun filled day. Thanks so much for making our last day so memorable.

We got our money's worth when we met up with Josh for our tour. Picked up at the hotel and driven around various places that included famous streets, Dolby Theater, a celebrity home, a coffee break, some natural vistas.
I assume you can get that on other tours but I can't say enough about the guide who really had a perfect mix of information about SoCal weather, Hollywood movies, celebrity homes, home prices, best place to get a photo, etc. etc. Really a pleasure to tour with him and worth the price. He left us off at La Brea and we made our way back downtown.
