Itinerary
The Narrows is an iconic hike in Zion National Park. We will be hiking from the Temple of Sinawava along the riverside walk, then into the Virgin River for approximately 2 miles upstream. The towering cliffs, handing gardens, and springs provide excellent photo opportunities. We will hike as far as the Orderville Canyon, before returning along the same route to the Temple of Sinawava. Though there is not much elevation gain on this hike, it is challenging to forge upstream while navigating large submerged river stones. We will enjoy a charcuterie board picnic on the beautiful grassy lawn of the Zion Lodge.

It was an amazing hike with an amazing guide! Can’t recommend it enough - we did the Kanarra Falls slot canyon since the Narrows were closed. It was beautiful (gorgeous colors) and way less crowded so we got to spend lots of time with the waterfalls and in the slot canyon (so cool!). I’m sure the Narrows, if open, would also be a memorable experience. Michael has great energy and is very knowledgeable about Zion. We did a bunch of hikes in Zion, and this was our favorite.

Just back from a 10 day trip exploring Utah's majestic parks. Cannot recommend Cedar & Sage enough! Michael was amazing and led us through a gorgeous snowy hike at Bryce. He provided all of the gear and snapped great family pics. We spent a second day with him exploring Zion. He’s super knowledgeable about the area! He was sweet and funny and great with the kiddos (his snack collection is on point ☺️). We will definitely be back to hike The Narrows and will 100% book with Michael again. It was the highlight of our trip!

Michael was amazing! He was professional and knowledgeable. He knew a lot about the geology and the plants. Michael's gear left me dry and warm. Michael knows the Narrows like the back of his hand. We watched other vistors guided by other companies struggle and often fall in. Michael made my birthday a complete pleasure!

Michael was an excellent tour guide and a wealth of knowledge. We learned so much about Zion National Park, plant life, and various tips/tricks about the park/hikes. Our hike was tailored to our hiking abilities. The charcuterie lunch in the sun was a terrific mid-point break.

What a truly unforgettable experience! We had a great time hiking up river taking in the incredibly beautiful scenery. The weather was perfect but a little chilly. Lucky for us our guide, Michael, was fully prepared with waders and all the other equipment we needed to be comfortable on our journey. Michael was very knowledgeable about the area and pleasant. We enjoyed talking with him and the charcuterie lunch he brought along was delish!

Our family of six really enjoyed this experience. Michael was our guide for the day and was awesome! We met him right at the visitor center, which was packed already at 0645 and we changed our shoes and socks back at his car near the benches. He provided the socks, shoes and walking sticks, which were a life saver. He was patient with us guiding us through the best spots to walk. He took turns speaking with us individually (a few walked at a slower pace than others in our group). He constantly checked in on us and we were able to make it all the way back to see Wall Street. We opted to have lunch back at the visitor center so we could get out of the wet socks/shoes. The charcuterie board was delicious and much needed after the long hike. We went at the end of September and at the highest, the water level was only to our belly buttons (I'm 5'5"). We even saw deer and turkeys while riding the shuttle and having lunch. On the 40-minute ride back to the visitor center we all took a nap as we were exhausted. Michael was knowledgeable about the narrows, took amazing family photos for us and provided us with some recommendations on things to do in the area. I would definitely book this trip or another with Cedar & Sage Travel.

There is a reason that Cedar and Sage Travel get all 5 star reviews, because they are that good! We were so fortunate to have Moises as our guide. His enthusiasm and love of Zion is so wonderful and contagious, and he really helped us navigate The Narrows safely and at a pace that worked for us. Highly recommended!
