Carlos our guide was excellent. He is from the favela and still lives there so knows the area and people very well.
He can speak quite a few languages fluently so everyone was accommodated and the experience was amazing.
This tour is definitely worth doing and you will not regret it. From the pick up on bikes to the visiting of different locations to the knowledge we are told about.
Also there is some opportunity to watch traditional dancing allowing you to give a contribution if you wish. We also visited the gang areas but always felt safe.

Great experience, truly a real world tour, Daniel was amazing . Walked throughout the favela , saw local flair and artist. Met residents ate good food . Highly recommend it . Best tour I had while in Brazil

This was an excellent tour, and Pablo, our guide, was fantastic. He’s from Rocinha himself and knows the place inside and out, and he was very encouraging of questions and super open with his answers, so we all learnt loads. I’d very strongly recommend! Also the bike ride to the top at the start was mental!

Amazing tour with amazing people and capoeira show and samba, you go up with mototaxi and then follow the guide. Everything is well explained and when you can take picture or not. Don’t be afraid to go just do it

We had an amazing time on the tour with Antonio and Alisson. They were super friendly and knowledgeable. They made sure we got a great and varied experience of life in the favelas! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Rio!

The tour of the Favéla with Carlos was incredible, the people are so welcoming and smiling that it restores balm to the heart. Don't hesitate to do this tour, don't listen to all the apriori on the favela, it's just a lie.

Incredible tour with incredible guide. I shall never say again that favélas are dangerous, it’s a forbidden place in Rio that needed to be visit ! I surely encourage you to live the experience !!!

Honestly it’s the best thing I did in Rio. We had the opportunity to do a visit with Henrique and if you go at Rio de Janeiro it’s the n°1 visit to do ! Also, touristic visit help people who lives in the favela ! Soooo what are you waiting for doing the favela tour ?
