Our hometown, Húsavík, is now also the Eurovision town, where Sigrit and Lars moved their first steps before conquering the Eurovision stage and all Europe's heart! And we are going to explore it all!

The most iconic song of the movie inspired this bar located on Husavik cape, with great views over the town and the harbour, that acts as a gate to the magnificent Eurovision Song Contest Exhibition. Beside the bar, we can even try to meet the elves, hoping they don't go too far this time!

Being the most iconic building in town, the picturesque church can't be missed. Even more so because Lars celebrated on top of the bell tower when Fire Saga entered the national selection for the ESC!

We really enjoyed this walk with Francesco who took us to the film location sites and told us some “ behind the scenes” stories. Some of these were via his partner and friends who had been extras. We had not previously heard about the Oscar nomination for the song so that was also interesting. We also learnt about the town itself and the history of fishing and tourism. We had recommendations for places to eat and drink and for local walks. This experience really adds to our enjoyment of our 3 days in Husavik.

This tour was the highlight of our 20th Wedding Anniversary trip to Europe. (Which is saying a lot considering we also went to London, Stonehenge, Bath, Windsor, Canterbury, Dublin, Belfast and made several other stops in Iceland). We are big 'Eurovision: Fire Saga' fans and seeing all the places from the movie was super cool. My wife and I are seriously considering spending a summer in Husavik in the future. We can totally see why the producers picked Husavik as the ideal 'home town's as the setting of the movie and as the inspiration for, and title of, the Oscar nominated song of the same name. We highly recommend this tour and a visit to this awesome country and small town in general!

Si vous êtes fan d’Eurovision, ce lieu unique est fait pour vous. Il retrace toute l’histoire du film mais pas seulement, il parle aussi de l’Islande elle-même pendant le concours. Venez nombreux visiter ce lieu unique, atypique et pourtant si joli. Il est aussi possible de prendre un verre dans leur bar, d’apprécier une part de pizza.
