What an amazing site and experience! Roul was a very good and nice gide with a lot of historical knowlage! Trip was wel organized from Guatemala City. I do recomend to go another month for this tour Nov/Dec would be the best months. I went in May and the temperature was about 45°C which makes the tour guite a challange.

Even though it's an early start for this experience traveling form GC, it's well worth it! Very well organized, insightful and interesting with plenty of opportunities to explore and climb the pyramids, hike through the jungle between the structure locations and spot wildlife along the way. Roel is a very knowledgeable guide with years of experience at Tikal - I believe he mentioned his father was a Park Ranger there - with lots of stories, facts and information on continuing work going on at Tikal. Afterwards we travelled back to Flores. We were invited to hang out in TikalGo's office lounge with nice cool air conditioning and explore Isla de Flores for a bit before being transported back to the airport. It was the highlight of my trip to Guatemala!

This tour company did an excellent job in communicating before the trip and taking care of all the guests very well. Our tour guide, Nathaniel was very friendly and informative. We learned a lot about the history of the Tikal site, and the animals that live there in the area. He's an excellent host and helped us to enjoy the trip immensely!

We took the private trip from Guatemala City fly to Flores and then drive to Tikal. Our guide was Nate who was phenomenal. Not only did he speak excellent English he was extremely knowledgeable. My husband was not feeling the greatest and Nate made sure he was taken care of along the whole trip. The office staff was also very good! Don’t hesitate to book through this company they were very good! Great communication every step of the way. Highly recommend!

What an incredible tour. Our guide Julio was so incredibly knowledgeable. He studied archeology so his knowledge about the Mayan society just made the tour even more memorable. Tikal is a breathtaking and an absolute must see while in Guatemala. The lunch at the restaurant surprised us all, it was delicious. For me an unexpected highlight was the drive back to the airport, our driver stopped a couple of times so we could take in the sunset from the open air vehicle. Don’t hesitate!! Book the tour!!

We booked a day trip from Guatemala City to Flores to visit Tikal with Tikal Go and for the most part, it was a seamless and fun day! We did the Tikal Exclusive tour, which meant it was a private tour and we were able to catch a flight back from Flores to Guatemala City in the early evening and be back for dinner rather than a night flight and get back late. Tikal Go arranged for a driver to transport us between our hotel and the Guatemala City airport and back, and in both instances, the driver was there on time waiting for us (his car didn’t have seatbelts in it, but it was a short distance so this wasn’t as concerning as it would have been if we were driving a lot distance). Once at the airport in Guatemala City everything was smooth as Tikal Go had handled the flight booking and sent us our boarding passes. We just had a day pack so no issues there. Note that the domestic gate to Flores does not have any shops that I could see, so you will be out of luck for coffee/water until you board the plane. The plane was not huge but it was larger than I had feared (I was envisioning a tiny 20 seat prop plane). The plane had a 2-2 seat configuration and probably about 30-35 rows. Once we landed in Flores our driver and our guide, Daniela, were both waiting for us. The drive to Tikal takes about 1.5 hours so we stopped mid-way for breakfast. Once we arrived to Tikal our driver dropped us off and it was all on foot from there. Note that the ground was uneven and slippery in areas so bring good footwear (especially if you intend on climbing to the top of any of the temples). We spent about 4 hours wandering around the Tikal ruins, and this was more than enough time to see all the main sites and climb all of the temples. We finished it off with lunch on the grounds (it seems all groups are brought here, and you will have a limited number of options for a meal – there is a vegetarian option). We were back in Flores for our 5pm flight with more than enough time to spare (we actually had so much time that we walked across the highway to the mall across the street to kill time). Since we had so much extra time I wish our guide and driver had taken us into Flores to see it for a bit rather than dropping us at the airport so early. Also, our guide’s English was not always the best. She tried her hardest to explain everything and was really fun and energetic, but sometimes information was lost in translation or she did not understand our questions, so we left Tikal feeling like we didn’t fully understand the history and significance. All told though, this was a very well-organized tour and we really enjoyed it! Tikal Go coordinated every single aspect so all we had to do was show up.

TikalGo provided my family an excellent experience from our 4 AM hotel pick up in Guatemala City through our return to the hotel the next day. Ceasar, our guide in Tikal, was fantastic! He was one of the best guides we've had in more than 30 years of traveling. He provided historical insight and family-friendly humor as he led us through a memorable day at the park. Make sure to ask for Ceasar by name.

We did the overnight tour from GC as it was just easier than booking everything separately. We had Nate and Antonio who were fantastic. Nate really gave us a really good understanding not only of Tikal but also Guatemala in general. The transport was of really good quality and the air conditioning was excellent! We were booked into a hotel that overlooked Flores Island which was just a short walk away. The company handled all transfers, accommodation and flights really well. Our tour was only the two of us so it was really flexible in terms of stops, breakfast etc. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Tikal at ease.

We booked a tour last minute from Guatemala City. Tikal Go worked with us to find a tour that fit our schedule and everything went according to plan. Best of all we had Nate (Nathaniel) as our guide His English is excellent. He is very knowledgeable, gave us a super tour and answered all our questions. He’s also enthusiastic and a lot of fun. Thanks Nate!
