We had a great time on this tour, a lovely day out. Our tour guide Victor was lovely, really helpful, informative and funny too. Uros Islands was interesting to see, although very touristy as others have noted. We didn't feel pressured to buy anything though as others have said. The walk and lunch on Taquile Island were a real highlight - helped by a beautiful sunny day. The food for lunch was delicious and accompanied by an amazing view. Overall would definitely recommend, great value for money!

Great organization, you dont need to worry about transport, the pick up is just from your accomodation. Great guide guy Fredy told a lot of curiosities about the Titicaca lake. People in Uros and Tequila island are so charming, so hostitable that it is impossible not to like them. I can recommend that trip wholeheartedly :)

What a great excursion my partner and I had. The lake is beautiful and Victor, the guide we had, was very knowledgeable and made the trip memorable. Extra points for the agency and their customer service, we had to change something last minute and they have been very responsive and understanding. If you're in Puno and looking to explore Lake Titicaca I highly recommend them!

Actually a really good tour. Our Tour Guide Freddy was easy to listen which is not always given in Peru, but necessary for an informative tour. The Visit to Uros felt quite touristic, but however is very interesting in learning about the technique to build such islands. Minus point: We felt a bit pressured to buy something and to take the rowing boat to the main Uros Island for 15 Sol each. The island of Taquile were the highlight for us, as we did a 1 hour walk through the beautiful fields and plantages and got a very tasty lunch with a scenic view. In total I can definitely recommend the Tour.

We took a great boat trip to Uros and Taquile with Freddy as our guide. He was very attentive and gave us great information about the two different groups of people we met. We were a bit hesitant to take this trip initially as it looked very touristy. However, Freddy made it clear that the people we visited now rely on tourism as part of their survival. The Uros people can no longer survive fishing as the number of fish in the lake has drastically dropped. They have turned to tourism, explaining their way of life and try to sell some handicrafts to survive. There are only about 2,000 Uros left living on the floating islands in the traditional way and so it is important to help them continue this. Any tourists that visit them are helping prolong their ancient way of life. Freddy and the Uros people explained how the people create their homes on floating reed islands. We also had a delicious trout lunch on Taquile in the main square looking over the lake and the distant view to Bolivia. The boat was great with comfortable seats and a bathroom. We wanted to walk around Puno at the end of our trip and Freddy was great in organising our transport back to the hotel later. Overall the administration and organisation was excellent.

Loved this tour. We weren’t sure fully what to expect as we had seen some reviews focused on the selling aspect but we are absolutely obsessed with the handicrafts we purchased on the floating islands and feel really honoured that we were able to learn the significance behind each and how they represent the local culture, from the communities who created them themselves (they were also super cheap)! The floating islands are such a unique experience and the communities super welcoming, the local children who came on the boats and sang for us were a lovely addition too! Taquile island also offered up super interesting insights into some of the traditional dress of the Incas, which we were able to bring back with us and apply to the people we saw when we were back in Puno city. The island also offered lovely viewpoints and a delicious lunch with the most beautiful panoramic vistas of the lake (we have had our fair share of tour lunches and they usually leave a lot to be desired - this has been our favourite by far). Last but not least, we have to mention our guide Victor who really went out of his way to make the tour one to remember. His knowledge of the local culture was expert level and super engaging the whole tour through - perfectly complementing the presentations from locals and translating with ease/fluency across both Spanish and English so no detail was missed. He even lent us some cash so we could purchase the handicrafts we wanted on the floating island and gave us some wider recommendations for where to go/eat in Puno.
