Excellent experience however your guide did not provide advice on how intense the sun could be on the mountain due to the snow. This resulted in us ending up with severe sunburn to arms face and legs this spoiled the next few days of our holiday. We had never been on snow trek before and feel your guide should have insisted that sun protection was used.

Wow! Fantastic trip to Mount Rainier with our tour guide Susan who was so knowledgeable about the mountain and surrounding area. The highlight was a 2.5 hour trek in the snow whilst wearing snow-shoes. The weather was perfect and the experience was beyond what we had expected. Susan made the experience very personal and I recommend this excursion to anyone visiting the Seattle area.

At the base of the mountain was warm and rainy. Then it started to snow in May. Our guide Susan was prepared with all of needs of the unprepared people us included not havinggloves or hats . Snow shoeing in the snow was great!

The views on this tour are unmatched, breathtaking, and are once in a lifetime views. With that being said there are numerous other reasons for my two star review. My background…i use this app to book all kinds of excursions across the country…there for I have certain expectations and am accustomed to certain things. First…for almost $200 I would expect to be picked up in a better vehicle. Not one that has been in an accident, interior having not been cleaned since it was purchased, and malfunctioning brake lights. Second…with this type of tour being a 12 occupant tour there should be more than one guide. Too many dangers associated with the snow trekking and hikes that follow to only have one guide. Maybe drop the occupancy down to 6 occupants with one guide. Third….no need for the guide to provide the occupants food…and lack luster food at that. You can do a stop on the way for us to get proper snacks. And then after the snow shoe trek occupants can buy hot meals at the visitor center cafeteria. Cold food from your lunch kit just doesn’t cut it after a snow hike. Fourth…update your equipment that you let occupants use….shouldn’t be a hodge podge of passed down ski poles. Fifth…educate the occupants on how to properly adhere the snow shoes to their shoes (also make note on your tour page of proper footwear needed for the tour based on the time of year) and also how to adjust the height if the ski poles. Sixth….instruct your occupants on how to navigate through the snow in the snow shoes (navigating through the snow changes with the condition of the snow especially if it is fresh snow) and work slowly with occupants as this may be their first time trying such an excursion. Seventh….do not lead your occupants into unsafe terrain just because you want the occupants to get their “monies worth”…..if the conditions are not safe for the tour to pass through certain hiking trails accept that and explain that to the group. We would much rather walk away from a hike with a sense of feeling safe and with all of our limbs in tact. Eighth….might be wise to reccommend occupants bring a fresh change of clothes….especially in regards to the forest hikes….you need to be cognizant of the fact that most of us participating in the tour do not live in the city/state…we’re visiting and 95% of the time we have taken an Uber/Lyft to meet up with you…meaning we will more than likely need to take an Uber/Lyft to get back to wherever we are staying…..would you feel confortable getting into a stranger’s vehicle muddy and wet? Price that is being charged for this tour is not representative of the service that is being rendered.

Susan is an amazing tour guide! She is very knowledgeable and gracious. The lunch provided was delicious. We got to see many different parts of the national park and even snowshoed quite a bit. Personally, I had a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this to other travellers.
