Did you know chocolate comes from a tree!?! We are growers and makers of single-origin, 100% Hawaiian chocolate. Our 1,000-acre farm is set high on the slopes of Mauna Kea, just above Hilo town, where the rich volcanic soil adds depth and flavor to our cocoa beans.

We invite you to take the scenic drive up to our Visitor Center where you’ll be welcomed with sweeping views from mauka (mountain) to makai (ocean). Embark on a Tree-to-Chocolate Tour with our knowledgeable guides where you’ll explore our cacao orchards, walk through our chocolate processing facilities, and learn about the tree-to-chocolate journey.

Complete your tour at the Visitor Center with our white chocolate with nibs sample. You’ll have the opportunity to experience the nuances of flavor between chocolates with different cacao percentages and indulge in exciting flavors like Milk Chocolate with Mediterranean Sea Salt, Dark Chocolate with Orange, and 70% Dark Chocolate to name a few.

They have really good chocolate and staffs are super nice. I had a really good experience going to the farm and touring the plants. We get to eat the chocolate fruit raw from their farm. It was interesting. If 42 dollars is not a big deal to you, it's a great experience. However, if 42 dollars is a lot to you, then I think you can skip the tour and just use the money to buy the chocolate. I wish someone had said that in the review. The tour is very short. You get to walk near the trees. Then you get to see the fermentation process. Then there's a video of the process of chocolate making. You get to taste the cocoa butter and small pieces of milk, orange, dark chocolate. For me, 42 dollars is a little bit too much.

Such a fun short tour to take. Hands on participation and you get to taste the finished product. It was nice to visit a local grower that does everything themselves. They produce a superior product. Plus they grow their own coffee which they incorporate into a variety of chocolate products.

I never knew how chocolate grew or was processed! The blending of 3 different types of chocolate pods and the amount of cacao in their chocolate gives their chocolate a uniquely rich quality. Went with a group of friends-so much fun!

Such a lively and informative tour with Leigh! Enjoyed all the tastings on the way through the farm and part of the processing. It rained (poured!) but the tour vehicles had umbrellas, rain shades, and towels to keep us dry. Delicious and fun, mahalo!

Wonderful guided experience to explain the cacao to chocolate journey. Nick was funny and informative, which is a great balance. This tour works great in any weather so don’t sweat it if things are rainy. Go and enjoy it, especially the chocolate tasting at the end!

This was a fascinating tour and we would highly recommend it. Our tour guide was so informative and willing to answer all the questions we had. There was a light rain the day we went, but they thought of everything we could possibly need from umbrellas to towels. Fortunately. none of that was necessary, but still impressive that they thought of it. I think what made this tour different from others we've been on, was that we truly got to learn about the chocolate-making process from growing the cacao pods to making the chocolate. It was also interesting to learn of some of the challenges they face growing the cacao trees. Toward the end of the tour we had samples of different types of chocolate they make, and all were delicious. The property is beautiful, and their store is also very nice with quite a range of products to choose from. Of course, we had to bring chocolate home to share with friends and family. The problem was choosing which ones! If you get a chance, take this tour. You'll be glad you did!
