Adrian Wolf gave us a great tour of Trondheim. We were pleasantly educated and very entertained with stories of the city and its locals with a sideview to the fascinating details. All in great English .

I thought Trondheim would be a boring industrial port - WRONG! It is an amazing town - full of color, culture, amazing views, a beautiful cathedral, canals, modern buildings, festivals - so, so much. And the food!!! It is definitely a foodie's paradise. So many options - from so many cultures. I walked all over, and still needed to do more to see everything, but my feet were pooped. You can easily walk from the cruise port to the Cathedral - just give yourself time to find treasures along the way. And then wander back on a different route, and see the painted buildings along the canal - awesome views.
One interesting thing - really hard to find an ATM on a Sunday - they were inside the bank foyer, and you needed a code (not just an ATM card) to get in. Fortunately, was able to do everything by card. But had to tip in American $$ because of no access to Norwegian kr.

Carmen was an absolutely fabulous tour guide. We walked all over the heart of Trondheim and learned more in 3 hours than we could have hoped. She was friendly, personable and very knowledgeable. The only hiccup we had is the booking company got us confused and we were waiting for her in a different location than she thought. She was very quick to accommodate us and meet us where we were.

2 hour walking tour with Carmen of the city. She was full of tips to navigate the city and history. She went out of her way to show us restaurants, special shopping stores and the location of our other boat trip. We also saw a new bird she identified for us

A complete waste of money. There is a free 6.7 Km walk around the main sights of Trondheim with signs scattered about explaining things in Norsk and English. Trondheim is a photography paradise and if you walk at leisure it’s far better.

Our tour guide, Patrick, gave us exactly the kind of walking tour we wanted. He was knowledgeable about the history, culture, politics, architecture - everything about Trondheim. Moreover, he was a really nice guy, a pleasure to be with. We highly recommend him to anyone visiting this very beautiful city.
