Itinerary
After a brief introduction and classroom briefing, we will outfit you with scuba gear and then you are off to the pool where your instructor will teach a few scuba skills, you get to familiarize yourself with the use of the equipment and finally have time to enjoy a scuba pool dive under the supervision of your instructor.
After a lunch break, you will go out on a dive boat and you will do two dives on the beautiful coral reef with your instructor. The program finishes at around 5 pm.
Please make sure you do have transportation available since the pool site and the marina are a few minutes away.
Please note that you cannot fly on an airplane or go to high altitude until 10 AM on the next day after your Discover Scuba Diving experience. To participate in this experience, you must know how to swim.

The staff and instructors are so friendly and knowledgeable. Our dive guide Joe was so funny and helpful, he really cares about his dives (logs all of them, over 6000!) and those he brings along. He teaches you anything about diving if you ask, we learned about log books and dive tables. He wrote down fish and pointed them out, and made us smile. The owner Yvonne is the sweetest lady as well. It’s a small business who will appreciate your business! Only dive Scuba Fun!!!! I promise you will enjoy every single second.
We did a two tank boat dive at the coral reefs offshore and saw amazing things!

Having know experience, the instruction I got at Amoray resort with instructor, Richard Murphy, exceeded all my expectations. I was a little apprehensice about picking up a new adventure sport at 61 years old, but this place and this instructor were outstanding. Staff and boat Captain were all professional and great attitude. Richard Murphy is a great instructor. He's experienced and doesn't cut corners and uses all the time very efficiently while even taking in some great sights while on the certification dives about 40 minutes out by boat to beautiful coral reefs. I highly recommend the whole SCUBA team at Amoray Resort in Key Largo, and specifically recommend my instructor, Richard Murphy to get your open water diver SCUBA diver certification or any level for that matter.

I was very nervous as it was my first time. But my instructor Cheddy was Amazing 🤩 my boyfriend and I had such a great experience. If anyone wants the coolest most professional instructor go there and ask for him. We were so happy and had so much fun

Tried this with my gf. It was unforgettable and I’d definitely do it again. They were serious with safety and taught us well. Tom was a great guide and made us comfortable.

Scuba Joe and the whole team at Scuba Fun were the best. My son and I could not have had a better experience. If you're looking for an experienced team of warm people to help guide you to certification you've found them. They really know their stuff and are happy to help. We had booked the Try Scuba course. Our instructor, Joe, was great! Professional and at the same time funny and quick-witted. After a theoretical part in the classroom, we went to practice diving in the pool - and then to two accompanying dives in the sea. A mini shark, stingrays, and turtle included. We'll be back!

I know this is going to sound like BS, but this was the most incredible dive experience I’ve had. On 6/5 we made plans with “Scuba Fun Dive Center” in Key Largo. Everything started on time and our instructor, guide, was perfect. His name is “Scuba Joe”. He was serious about safety, easy to engage with and a great guide underwater. He used an underwater writing pad that made the dives (2) that much more special. We didn’t wonder what we were seeing, he wrote if for us while we were watching. Very cool. The reefs were good, especially the first one. Lots of fish and other sea life. All in all…..a fun and exciting day with an enjoyable and informative host. And…..I got to share this day with my youngest son. Priceless!

Got my open water certification with Zack and Scuba Joe and could not have asked for a better set of instructors. These guys know what they are doing and will make learning both safe and fun. The dive sites that we went to were incredible and I can't wait to come back and dive with these guys again.
