We will hike up one of Rio's highest favelas or Comunidades along the famous Two Brothers mountain. This hike can be at Sunrise, Mid Day or Sunset. Here you will learn what a Favela is, you will experience amazing views and a cultural food experience.
Please bring sneakers, Shoes or hiking boots. Hiking with flip-flops or sandals is not recommended and can make the hike uncomfortable!

Our tour guide, Rodrigo, was amazing!! I would give him 10 stars if that was an option. He was so knowledgeable of the ecology and wildlife, very friendly and excellent English. I liked that it was a smaller group (7 total) and would recommend the sunset tour as it was less busy and the views were breathtaking. I really enjoyed taking the motorcycle (driven by locals) through the favela - it was a great way to have some exposure and a lot of fun if you are comfortable on motorcycles. It was a pretty easy hike as long as you are moderately fit. Highly recommended!

Super hike with Henry who is sharing his experience. He is leaving in the favelas that we need to cross to access the hike.
We did the hike for the sunset and the view is really amazing !

Really good really nice! Was really fun trip! Was interesting to heard about favelas and about Brazil in general. Felt super safe all the time (much safer than in center of Rio)

Unfortunately he cancelled 1 day before, and don’t give me any other option to join the trip so I did alone, and actually I see him there with him grup I don’t know if one people less or more make an difference but he just don’t find a way, anyway..

This was a great experience. Rodrigo was an amazing guide and it was totally worth going with him than doing it on my own. One of my favorite things I’ve done in Rio so far!

Great experience. The guide was helpful and knowledgeable. Communication was very clear and the hike and view from the top was amazing!! I would absolutely do this again, and recommend to anyone visiting Rio!

I did the Two Brothers sunrise trail and favela tour. Both were excellent but the highlight was the Two Brothers trail. Traveling through the favela at 4am on motor taxis then going up the mountain trail was unreal!!! The views from the top of the sun rising over Rio have to be seen to be believed!!!
Cant say enough good things about Henry, Digao and Rodrigo all were brilliant!!! Id highly recommend any of the experiences but the Two Brothers sunrise trail is an absolute must!!! (and the Favela tour needs to be done too).

LOVED this excursion! Multiple beautiful viewpoints of Copacabana, Rochina, and the sunset, and plenty of time at the top. The short motorcycle ride through Vidigal favela felt easy and safe, we were first time riders. Digão was awesome and went above and beyond to help us out. My friend had shoes with poor traction (the hike is pretty steep, this was a mistake), he noticed and literally held her hand half of the way down. He took so many photos and videos for us, was patient and fun. Hike was mostly shaded, wear bug spray. Highly recommend!

I did the tour on the 30th of november for sunset, it was absolutely spectacular and the views are amazing! We did have a little drama where one of the people was late and blaming Henry and fighting with his guide Rodrigo. Henry actually came down and respectfully conversed with her and asked her to leave because everyone felt uncomfortable including myself.... His professionalism is unmatched. I probably would've freaked out if I was treated that way or any of my employees were (if I had a business). Henry hires locals, gives back to the community. So do yourself a favor and book a tour!! DeLia K was the person who arrived late, her review is not true at all. Thank you for the great time Henry, Rodrigo and Digão 🙏😎🌹
