My instructor was Kev, an incredibly passionate, knowledgeable and patient instructor who was genuinely interested in getting the best out of you. He made the difference between giving up and getting hooked on surfing. He’s seriously the yoda of surf instructing. Would highly recommend 🙌

I Had a great time learning the surf. The coach was friendly and helpful. There is a beach suitable for practice nearby, and the school/shop's staff are friendly and experienced. It was really fun!!

Our kids had the best time down at Cosy Corner with Jamie learning to surf. She was a knowledgeable instructor with a great personality so the kids felt comfortable as soon as they met her. All 3 kids - 12yo, 10yo and 6yo were up on the boards not long after they hit the water. We’ll be back for sure 🏄🏼‍♂️ 👍🏻

Spencer and Taylor are encouraging and experienced Surf Teachers. Absolutely loved catching my first wave! Can’t stop going back. World Class 👍 Guys in shop are super helpful too-for all ages shapes & sizes. Love this place.

Was a really good, fun experience! The instructor, Arthur, made us feel at ease and safe in the water having never done surfing before. Provided us with great advice and assisted us as much as we needed. Would definitely recommend a surf lesson with the Torquay Surfing Academy.

Fantastic experience, everything taken care of equipment-wise and Artie (instructor) provided as much or as little assistance as needed. Focus on the practical aspects of surfing and particularly enjoying yourself. Reasonably priced and tons of practical advice for those wanting to continue with the sport. Perfect for first-time or inexperienced surfers.

I had a great time with my kids at Torquay, thanks to Amish and crew. From the moment we stepped into the shop, along the walk to the beach and during the small group class. Although the beach had some crowd which is only natural in this time of the year, Amish and Torquay Surfing Academy instructors made every single moment count! So much that after some sightseeing through the surf coast the following day we came back to hire surfboards and suits to do it all over again. Will definitely come back again and try the private lessons, which I also noticed people coming for.

The kids thoroughly enjoyed their session. They all managed to catch waves and stand up. I would thoroughly recommend these guys for their knowledge and care!

We had a great time! Part of a very small group and we were in the water only minutes after getting down to the beach. Instead of long drawn out things on land like I've seen other schools do. It's definitely a more personal approach, you ask questions and you'll get tips to help you progress. Just like a friend taking you out.

Brilliant service and experience all round from the moment you walk into the shop, great local business. Without a doubt the best company operating in Torquay. Quality instructors, great boards and good quality wetsuits. The guides really worked and supported my sons and made the whole experience enjoyable. Definitely would recommend and will be back for more lessons.
