One of the world’s oldest art museums, the Uffizi was built by architect Giorgio Vasari in the 16th century to house government offices. It was only later that the building was used to showcase art collected by Florence’s ruling Medici family, and not until 1769 that it was turned into a public museum.
The repository of more 1,500 works dating from Greek times to the 18th century, the core of the Uffizi is its unmissable collection of Renaissance art. Your tour concentrates on these, as your guide leads you around the highlights of the Renaissance rooms, home to great works by Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and others.

Our group was small, so we were able to manoeuver through the large groups that seemed to move incredibly slowly through the museum. This allowed us to see more of the museum without wasting time. Our guide, Stephanie, was fantastic. She knows the Uffizi so well, that while moving through the museum, she noticed several paintings that had been returned after having been removed for several years for renovation. I couldn't have really appreciated the museum and its works without her commentary. Excellent guide, excellent tour.

It was perfect to have a guided tour to see the most incredible pieces in the gallery! Our guide Angela was really great and we only had 4 in our group….yay!!

One member of our family had a shopping bag, so the Viator guide told him he could not enter. There was no help or solution proposed, like holding the bag for us despite that they had a coordinator on site. As a result, the dad had to forfeit his ticket and tour, which cost over $100. This was terrible service and attitude, especially since we had come all the way from California to see the Uffizi and paid top dollar for the private tour.

Claire was our tour guide. She darted to the important works on the 2nd floor and gave good imformation especially about the Venus paintings. You will have to navigate most of the Museum on your own though after the tour. Skip the line is always the way to go.

Great tour - got to most of the hits! Moved quickly and got to see most of the the important parts of the museum- that said, we only did the top floor and there was definitely time to do more.

I recently purchased this ticket as the skip-the-line option for the Uffizi Gallery without the tour guide. I can’t speak to how the tour with the guide would’ve been but the option without the tour guide is not worth the money. You can purchase tickets on the museum’s website for less money with a timed entry, which is exactly what you’re getting here. The skip-the-line isn’t really advertised appropriately as you still wait in line to get into the museum and go through security at your entry time. Additionally, the tour guide who picked up our tickets didn’t do so until about 10 minutes after our start time. They also didn’t provide any instructions on how to get into the museum. So there truly was no value in booking this ticket without the guided tour.
