I am still not sure who the tour operator was or what happened to my booking. They did not appear to have anything from Viatour. But eventually they got it sorted and we had a great tour with only one other couple.
Our guide Nadia really helped get us through the tour. My husband has mobility issues and she spoke to the guards and got us some great shortcuts. Really amazing. Of course every thing is stupendous.

First and foremost our tour guide Juliana was wonderful. She knew about everything the spoke about and had fact-checked in order to give us the correct information and she was enthusiastic with a great attitude.
She gave her opinion on certain parts throughout the tour, mainly by sharing her findings. Something that we could personally appreciate because it was based on the extensive research she had done (most of the time) .
The tour took longer than mentioned, if you add the Basilica at the end we managed to leave the area at 5pm and we had the tour of 12:45pm. This did not include a break and at the end of it, most people in our group were famished and had very painful feet.
I feel as tough the company should have included time to have a lunch to make it more comfortable for the group because its a lot of walking slowly, standing still and listening which becomes more difficult the longer you stay on.
The headsets were a bit difficult to hear through but if you focused well enough you could hear most of what was said.
Overall we would recommend the tour and Juliana but we’d advise to have a big lunch/breakfast before you start and to wear your most comfortable shoes.

The tour started out fine until we got into the Vatican. While it was beautiful our tour guide ruined it for us. Instead of giving us facts and telling us what we were seeing she gave her opinion the entire time. She spent too long at each thing telling us what she thought and her opinions on it rather then getting to see more. She took so long that some of our party were starting to be unable to stand. Then when we were almost to the Sistine Chapel (at the 3hr mark) she asked if we wanted to add Rafael to the tour, while all us said no we were not going to be able to stand and walk much longer she went ahead with it anyway adding more time, more stair, and more pain and opinions. By the time we got to St. Peter’s some of our party were not even able to enjoy it. We booked on a different site which stated it was 2.5-3hrs in length which was reasonable for our older guest. At the 4hr mark they were done and didn’t get to enjoy it and wasted money. If you book this tour do NOT go with the guide Julianna as she spends the majority of the time giving her opinion and not really seeing much. Terrible time.

Couldn’t understand the guide and when we could she repeated herself tediously.
Also the Vatican is a poorly designed experience set up to drag you around souvenir shops as you try to exit.

Juliana was an amazing tour guide! From no context to Roman history, we really felt enlightened and loved the detail she put in the different pieces of the museum. Thank you so much!

She took her time to explain clearly to us about all that we need to know. She’s also funny and nice. I am happy to recommend her to everyone that needs her service.

The guide was very nice and knowledgable, however for the money that we paid we expected to see a lot more of the museums and not only a very very brief excursion of the place. Having already been in the Vatican Museums in the past, I can tell how very very brief this tour was.

Our guide Guiliana was very knowledgeable and was great with shepherding everyone through the unavoidable crowds.

Our tour guide knew so much information and was so knowledgeable about the Vatican! She was always watching to make sure everyone in the group was with her and understood what she was saying.
