What You Can Expect
Learn about the history of Porte Cailhau on your segway.
Meet your guide in Bordeaux to get a quick introduction on using your segway. Get outfitted with a helmet and ride our comfortable and performant segway for a nice stroll in the city. Once you are comfortable on the machine, the 2-hour tour of Bordeaux begins. Listen as your guide provides historical context for the sights of Bordeaux, which is on UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites.
Follow your guide to discovers the main monuments and attractions in Bordeaux, La Grosse Cloche, Rue Sainte-Catherine, and then to the Bordeaux Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-André de Bordeaux). It's here where the wedding between Eleanor of Aquitaine and the future King Louis VII took place in 1137.
Ride to Place de la Comédie. Here, the imposing Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux is the highlight, surrounded by places to shop and dine and simply relax and then to Place des Quinconces, one of Europe's largest public squares.
Head for the Garonne River and ride along the ancient waterfront, lined with buildings and monuments that mark the passage of time in the city.
Take a break from riding the segway to hear more about this significant place and snap some photographs. The tour concludes back at the starting point after two hours.

We were in Bordeaux for only one day and this was the best way to see the most in a short time. Elena was our guide and she was very friendly and knowledgeable. We got the hang of the Segway very quickly and they were so fun! I highly recommend this as a way to see a lot of the city in 2 hours. We actually booked other Segway tour in other countries we are visiting this trip because of how cool it was. Hope this helps!

It was a fun and good way of getting around Bordeaux.
The tour guide was young and energetic.
The down side of the tour were 1) the Segway are rather aged and dirty; 2) the service provider moved to a new location, but the pick up location shown on Viator App was not updated. We went to the old site as shown on the App, then saw a Notice posted on the door said the service provider was moved. Luckily we arrived earlier, saw notice posted on the door for the new location.
We ran few blocks away, hoping not to be late. Luckily we found the new location on time, but It was stressful.

Highly recommend a Segway tour to explore Bordeaux. Our guide Raphael was excellent and shared lots of history and stories with us. Saw more of the city than we would have on foot or by tram. Well organised and pleasant friendly staff.

If I could give this tour company a lower rating I would, but wanted to share my experience. They sent us the wrong (their old) address the day before, then when we called from that address wondering where they were, received no apology but an expectation that we would just jump in a taxi or walk half an hour to their new location. We could not reschedule as we only had limited time in Bordeaux and other bookings, which I explained to the customer service person.
This was very disappointing for me and my family as we were so looking forward to this tour.
I have asked twice for a refund but have received a rude response to my first request and my second has been ignored.
Don’t waste your money on these guys.

My husband, 13 year old son and I had a fabulous time on our Bordeaux Segway tour. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of our guide but he was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about the city and did a great job navigating us safely. We saw so much more of Bordeaux than we ever would have on foot. I highly recommend this tour.

A confession: I take a Segway tour wherever I go. However this was one of the best, certainly the best way to see Bordeaux. We covered all the sights in the city centre and then went along the riverside, crossed the bridge, visited Darwin and then returned to the old town in 2 hours. The tour guide was excellent and provided information at each stop.

Given the short amount of time we had to discover Bordeaux, this was definitely the best choice that we could take to get a glimpse of the various aspects of Bordeaux. The tour is not only covering the most touristy areas of the city, but also brings you out across the river Garonne to discover the more hidden secrets in La Bastide (like the Darwin Eco-système). Our tour guide (m) was fluent in 3 languages and took the time to explain us the sights/buildings we came across - as well as he very openly answered all our questions. And the best is that besides getting an excellent impresson of the city in a short period of time, it's also super fun and cool to ride these Segways across the city (I think I saw many jealous faces on our way :-D). I would totally recommend taking this tour if you want to explore the city in a fun way and leave enough time for some wine tasing later on!

This was one of the highlights of our visit.
We started out weekend in Bordeaux with this fantastic activity.
The tour guide was very attentive and took plenty of time to make sure we were comfortable and confident using the segway before starting the tour. My mother was very nervous and was worried about using the segway but they were very patient and made some jokes to help her relax and not be so worried.
The tour itself was absolutely brilliant. The tour guide (a girl) was giving the tour in French and English and she was very aware to include us in the French jokes with the other family on the trip. That was really nice.
The tour covered both sides of the river and brings you to areas you wouldn't see otherwise like the Darwin area.
I would lightly recommend this trip for anyone visiting Bordeaux and wanting to see a lot of the city in a short space of time. Thank you for the great experience.
