Stop At: Wadi Shab, Wadi shab Oman, Tiwi Oman

Discover the incredible oasis of Wadi Shab - one of the last places in Oman where you can chill in fresh blue water surrounded by mountains. Enjoy a rewarding full-day experience as you explore this spectacular waterfall in a cave.
Start the tour with pick up from your hotel in Muscat. Hop into an air-conditioned vehicle and set off on a 2-hour scenic drive through the otherworldly landscapes of Oman. Along the route, stop at a local coffee shop to try an energizing Omani tea. When you arrive at your destination, hidden away in the canyon of the dry river Wadi-Shab, take a very quick boat ride to the other side of the bank. From here, embark on your 40-minute hike. During the walk, experience the awesome power of nature which has forged the rock formations of this impressive canyon. Observe how the local farmers live and work, maintaining their crops in rough, rocky lands using the old irrigation system as their water supply.

Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Fins Beach, Unnamed Road Fins, فنس، Oman

Dive into Oman's hidden gem! Crystal waters, pristine sands, and unforgettable vistas await.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Bimmah Sinkhole, Hawiyat Najm Park, Muscat Oman

Bimmah Sinkhole is a water-filled depression, structurally a sinkhole, in the limestone of eastern Muscat Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. A lake of turquoise waters, it is 50 m by 70 m wide and approximately 20 m deep. The sinkhole was formed by a collapse of the surface layer due to dissolution of the underlying limestone.[However, locals believe that it was created by a meteorite, ‘Hawaiyat Najm’, which translates to ‘The Falling Star’ in Arabic, and hence the name.

To preserve the sinkhole, the local municipality developed a park, Hawiyat Najm Park (Haweat Najm Park), around it, along with a stairway leading down to the lake.

Mohammed was very helpful, he gave us clear instructions on what to bring and the pickup time and place. En route to Wadi Shab he gave a little background of Oman as a country and culture. Will definitely be recommending this experience to friends and family!

Amazing experience and definitely the highlight of our trip to Oman! It is worth noticing that the hike can be pretty challenging and the entrance to the cave is not for claustrophobic people.

Had a great experience. Most important tip is to leave as early in the morning as you can. Leaving the Al Mooj neighourhood of Muscat at 6:30, we arrived at the parking lot by Wadi Shab with only 2 other cars in the parking lot. They were young families and we passed them on the path. Had the entire last section to ourselves - incredible. So peaceful and quiet. On the hike back down the wadi to the car? Soooooo many people coming off tour buses, slipping and sliding on the rocks. I can just imagine how busy the cave with the waterfall would be at the end of the path by the time they all got there. I didn't take a life jacket but my guide did - it meant a lot of treading water in the last section while I took pictures and enjoyed the scenery. I had my camera in one of those little waterproof pouches with a lanyard around my neck. Had I swallowed my pride and carried a life jacket, probably would have gotten some better photos from within the water. The parking lot when we were leaving was full! We were so happy to have beaten the rush. The sinkhole is interesting, but nothing spectacular - the real jewel in the crown on this tour is Wadi Shab.

Our tour guide, Jamaal, was AMAZING! The whole trip to Wadi Shab and the sinkhole was fantastic in and of itself but Jamaal made it much more so. Beautiful car, well prepared, super considerate, very knowledgeable about all things Omani, he was one of the BEST tour guides I’ve had in any country for any trip. He knew Wadi Shab like the back of his hand, he navigated us through the labyrinthine chasm as far as we could physically go. I felt bad for tourists who were trying to accomplish the Wadi by themselves / this is clearly not recommended. Jamaal was super safety conscious yet adventurous. He was great about recommending super photo ops. Jamaal- thank you and thanks for meeting us at airport to give us something valuable we had left in car! Awesome- my highest recommendation!!!!

The service was amazing and the trip went very well for us. The guide was very nice. But be prepared that the hiking trail is a bit dangerous and requires good swimming skills if you are planning to see the cave

Our tour guide Jamaal was full of energy and took keen interest in the overall experience. He knew the essential equipment requirements (life jacket, water shoes, etc.) very well before hand and also ensured we had access to these. Since we are not good swimmers, he also helped us at every step along the Wadi Shab swimming pools (which are 4 of them and get deeper as you move). Overall a great day trip and Jamaal made it all the more worthwhile by being a fun guide.

The wadi in itself is an amazing place. What made it more memorable was our tour guide Khairoo. He was very patient and an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable and gave many insights to Oman, its people and history. I do recommend you specifically ask for Khairoo especially if you are elderly or travelling with family. 3 stars for Vaitor for ease of booking and 2 stars for Khairoo!
