Our river guide was great! Made the trip fun and entertaining. The kayaking was a great exercise and the hike was pretty chill. Can't miss this.

It was a great day. The waterfall is amazing. The hike is not too strenuous, a couple of river crossings that can be slippery but our guide Zac gave us walking sticks which helped a lot. Group was a good size, guide was knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna, and history of the area. Really have only positives to report. Definitely go!

This is a must-do if you physically can do it. I did this tour 18 years ago, and it’s still in my top 3 excursions of all time. It’s beautiful, fascinating (learning about plants and animals from the guide), and enjoyable. While the Green Room from almost two decades ago has been flooded away, there are remnants that are still quite spectacular, and the waterfall and pools are still breathtaking!
Helm was a great guide and about plants.

This review is for the kayak portion only because, due to the floods, the hiking trail had been shut down. We were delayed due to a flight issue, and Jack was kind enough to reschedule us for a later kayak tour on the same afternoon. The trip out and back was beautiful, and a blast even in the rain. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, and gave us some great recommendations on places to see and restaurants to try. A great trip!

We had Zach as our guide and he was the best! We had done some kayaking prior to this but Zach taught us a lot of strategies we had never been taught before, which made kayaking more enjoyable for us. It's a beautiful little trip down the Wailua River and to us it felt like the perfect length. One of our favorite Kauai adventures.

This excursion was super awesome! My partner and I had the best time!
The hike was not hard - do wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes, you’ll be walking through bits of the river and walking around rocks. Perfect mix of kayaking and hiking!

We enjoyed this tour so much! Zach was our guide and he was so fun! He had endless amount of jokes which made our tour fun and easy. The kayaking part was super easy, a little harder on our way back because of the headwind but still very manageable, this is coming from me who’s done kayaking only twice in my life. The hiking trail was easy, a couple of stream crossings but guide provided us walking sticks so it made it easier, some of the trail have boardwalk so you are not walking on slippery muddy trail. Will do this again!
