Seeing DC from the top of the bus was simply fabulous. As a previous Smithsonian staff member, I have seen the memorials, but have never really seen the architectural details of the buildings in the District. I was enthralled. The online ticketing process was simple and, as each stop had Big Bus staff, any questions or issues could be resolved onsite. One such staff, Alesha, was exceptionally helpful and kind. I had left a sweater on a bus, from which we had to transfer. She ran back to check for it and found it on the second bus she searched. Profuse thanks don’t seem enough and I hope Big Bus recognizes her kindness and super customer service.

This is a good way to see all the significant DC sites quickly. I did one full circuit, getting off four times to explore the monument/museum at that location; that filled a day!..

Fabulous experience and ability to get a handle on the layout of the city. The route was detoured due to a race and our driver did a great job changing the route and communicating. The last bus was extremely delayed getting to us which was difficult on a rainy day. Would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately we could get off the bus at the wharf. We didn’t know, wheather the bus stood at a trafficlight or at the stopp. That was a pity. We didn’t feel well informed.
