Part of the iconic image of Washington, the reflecting pool hosts many of the 24 million visitors a year who visit the National Mall. It is lined by walking paths and shade trees on both sides.

Union Station is a major transportation hub serving as a train station, bus terminal, and metro station. It is also a popular tourist destination, featuring a beautiful Beaux-Arts style building with shops, restaurants, and a food court.

Persons who are not U.S. citizens must present a valid passport or U.S. State Department-issued photo identification for entry.

Allan was a very knowledgeable guide and very interesting with his stories about New York and DC
He also recommended places to see and eat.

Meeting point was easy to find. Allan our tour guide was excellent and I appreciated his detailed knowledge of the city. We were able to see quite a few sites during the tour, including a great view of NY skyline on our return. Tour bus was a bit tight for our group of 12. Overall tour was better than I expected!

It was my first time to visit Washington DC. Every part of the tour is memorable to me. We had a great tour guide (Allan) I learned a lot from him. Definitely, I will look for Viator on my next trip. Thank you guys ☺️

We had a very enjoyable, interesting and informative day in the company of Steve our tour guide. Pick up was stress free and as described and it was nice to settle in to the comfy bus (which had a toilet) with great views on a rainy New York morning. After several days of non stop walking around NY, we had been looking forward to be able to relax and allow someone else to take the reigns. Steve gave a lot of useful info and then gave us peace to enjoy the views through New Jersey until our first comfort and coffee stop at a service station in Wilmington, Delaware 2hrs into the 4hr trip to our destination (we loved the Cinnabon bun with pecans). I took the opportunity to buy fridge magnets. We stopped here again on the way back in the evening.
Our first stop was at Arlington National Cemetery. The weather had improved and we had a lovely warm and sunny day ahead. There were toilets available there if needed. We visited the grave site of JFK etc al. Steve was very well informed and a font of knowledge.
Next up was Washington DC. Views from the bus were great and included the pentagon. First stop was Jefferson Memorial (toilets and snack van available if you're quick) . Then the Lincoln memorial and memorials to Korean and Vietnam wars. Again toilets available. Lots of great photo opportunities at all the stops. I wish I'd watched Forrest Gump before I left as I kept thinking of him at the Mall! Steve somehow managed not to loose anyone. However we all had his mobile number to contact just in case which could be very useful if you get separated from the group.
Finally we visited the Capitol Building and then the White House. The bus parked pretty close to all sites. It was amazing to do all this in a few hours without having to worry about logistics.
Before the return to NY we stopped for food at Union Station. Just the usual fast food sort of outlets here in a food court.
Then we made our way back, taking a slightly different route which was interesting and we could see Philadelphia off in the distance at one point. I think we got back to the starting point around 9.15-9.30 in the evening. It was a long day that didn't feel like it and was superbly managed by Steve. Thanks also to our drivers. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this day bus trip to Washington DC and hopefully you will also have Steve informing and entertaining you.

Our guide Steve was very knowledgable, friendly and helpful throughout our tour of Washington. Plenty of time was allowed to look around and take photographs and to ask any questions.
The last stop totally topped off the day and was magical.

We travel extensively, and have experienced the services of many tour guides. Alan our guide deserves notable mention, for his informative, thought provoking sharing of Washington and the historical and political sites we visited. He literally brought the sites to live with his anecdotes and personal experiences . was a remarkable trip to Washington.
