Our tour guide was fantastic at telling the back stories of venerated historical figures and events of DC. He pepper it with humor and really captured everyone’s attention and imagination. Seeing the monuments and memorial statutes at dusk gave a whole different vibe to the experience,

This was an amazing g activity. The segways are east to ride- anyone can go- they train you carefully. We wore an earpiece so we could hear our guide- we went in a group of 7 with Kyle and Teddy. The sound system worked very clearly. They were fun, and super informed, friendly. It was really impressive. One of the highlights of our USA holiday. Thanks so much !

1000% recommend this tour!!!! The staff takes safety VERY seriously and we did not start our tour until everyone was confident and comfortable on our Segway’s. What a way to see the sights!!! Our tour guide Chris B. was soooo knowledgeable about the history of DC and all the places we toured it was a mini history lesson. He was so kind, courteous and had a great sense of humor! This is a MUST do tour when in DC!

Profession, safety alert, courteous and thorough. Photo ops and captured a lot of the major sites. I would recommend this on a first full day of your trip to you get your bearings. We walked 10 miles the day prior doing the entire loop and spent a lot of time at all the monuments.

Ryan was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and funny. We had never been on a Segway before, they taught us how to ride and we felt very safe and confident. We did not realize how much distance between monuments there actually is. I highly recommend taking this tour, it is fun, informational and it really helped us plan the rest of our trip here in DC.

Did a Segway Tour with this group today. I had done a Segway Tour in DC about 14 years ago with another group, but could not find them listed and chose Capital for myself and my girlfriend to tour with.
They request that you arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time in order to do a safety orientation and learn how to use a Segway. We actually arrived about 40 minutes prior and were the first to arrive for our scheduled tour time. We were greeted by very friendly staff who immediately set out to get us ready. The group for our time slot consisted of about 12 people.
Our guides were Chris and Teddy. One guide led the group while the other brought up the rear to make sure that the group stayed together and got through all crossings safely. Each of us had a radio earpiece where we could hear the tour leader as he spoke to us and conducted the tour. At about the halfway point, we took a short break and the guides traded places. So Chris led the first half and Teddy led the second half. Both guides were phenomenally knowledgeable and had a deep understanding of the history of the sites along our route. I am a bit of a history buff, and know quite a bit, especially history surrounding our Nation's Capital. I did not hear a single historical inaccuracy from either of the guides, and also learned a whole lot that I did not know prior to this tour. Both guides were not only highly knowledgeable, but quite engaging and entertaining as well. These guys have that special talent of brining history to life and making it fun. They also took time to take pictures for those in the group who wanted pictures of themselves in front of various sites with the individuals cell phones. That was a nice personal touch.
The tour itself was two hours in duration, and we covered a lot of ground and saw many things along the way. I feel like this tour is a tremendous value. Great staff, great guides, and a great attention to everyone's safety without being overbearing. I highly recommend Capital Segway Tours to anyone who would like a nice guided tour and see a lot of sites in a reasonable time frame. My girlfriend is still going on and on about how much fun it was and how great all of the staff were.
As for ease of riding, it is super easy. It had been 14 years since I had last ridden one, and it came back in no time. Most of the rest of the group had never ridden one and were experts in no time flat. Plus all of the staff kept a close eye on everyone during the orientation of learning how to ride, and expertly helped each rider as needed.

Our guides were very knowledgeable. They were also very patient in teaching us all how to use the Segways.
The tour itself was comprehensive and we saw a lot more than we would have if we’d just been walking. I would definitely recommend it!

I would have given more than 5 stars for this one. Our guide is a history professor. Knew his stuff, was relevant and super attentive to all of us. Getting fun little factoids in addition to regular history lessons was amazing. If I were a college student I would have taken his class for sure.
