This fantastic 3 hour tour takes you to traditional whale watching areas in Skjálfandi Bay. Here you will get the chance to experience whales, dolphins and birds in their natural surroundings. Every tour is different and you never know what amazing species and wildlife shows you will get to see during the trip. The most common whale and dolphin species in Skjálfandi Bay are humpback whales, Minke whales, white beaked dolphins, porpoises and in the beginning of summer blue whales and fin whales.

The Husavik day was cancelled but transferred to Arksogssandur on another day. Got to see harbour porpoises and humpback breaching.

So cold!!! No joke, layer up. We saw one humpback that came to the surface 4 times. Guide was very knowledgeable and filled in the times between whale sightings with great local knowledge.

Really nice experience! We had luck we saw a lott of whales. Also very close by the boat. You get a suit on board for the cold. It was a very nice day

This tour in itself was great. The boats were well maintained, the guide was very enjoyable to listen to and we did see dolphins and whales. I’m not sure if it was just the ocean that day or the particular group, but several people in our group got seasick and were throwing up on the sides of the boat. Motion sickness sufferers be warned

The husavik tour got cancelled due to weather, but they were quick to offer an alternative or a refund, which was nice. Overall, it was fun. They give you overalls to keep you warm and a rain jacket to keep you dry. We saw a few whales and the guide was informative.
Also provided hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls at the end, which was a nice touch.
Definite possibility of getting sea sick due to choppy waters and a smallish boat though. Keep in mind.

We boarded a 9:15AM tour. Despite the heavy fog we saw a few dolphins up close. The main attraction of the day was a minke whale, we were able to observe lots of details. My 6 year old really enjoyed it.
The tour was well organized and the staff are very helpful.
Overall a perfect day!

Amazing boat trip to see whales! The boat is very comfortable and the give you a suite so you dont feel cold. U can see whales very close and the landscape is incredible. The team is very professional and kind. Lovely time :)
