With over 15 years of experience in the approach and observation of these marine mammals, Simon will be happy to share this passion with the greatest respect for the animal.
Enthusiast (s) by humpback whales, come and share some unforgettable moments to meet these giant of the ocean.
The boat is equipped with a directional hydrophone offering exceptional sound quality for listening to their majestic songs.
The humpback whales season runs from where they come to give birth and to reproduce.
This tour is led by a guide and captain.

Traveler pickup is offered
Pickups are made in the morning between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. and for the afternoon between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
The exact time will be communicated the evening before the excursion around 8 p.m.
only Tohoraborabora decides on the appointed time. The client cannot impose his time on a shared tour.
The time will vary depending on the pick-up locations of each participant and for afternoon pickups it is possible that depending on the morning excursion the schedule will be modified in the morning of the day of the excursion , but in this case we send the information by email or whatsapp to each customer.
Free pick up at your accommodation (hotels, pensions, Airbnb).
Please contact us if your hotel or boarding house or Airbnb accommodation is not listed in the hotels we have provided because the pick up will be by boat or at your accommodation if there is secure sea access for the boat, that is to say with sufficient depth, sandy soil, no corals and not on the fringing flat, and if there is a pontoon it must be large enough to accommodate our boats, and if it is not accessible , the pick up will be at the meeting place near your accommodation.

I had a disappointing experience with Tohora in Bora Bora. If you have respect for wildlife and responsible behavior, I strongly advise against choosing this whale watching company.
I witnessed Tohora Bora Bora's disregard for wildlife guidelines. During our excursion, they consistently violated the law by approaching whales within 100 meters and traveling at unsafe speeds near these creatures. This was a concern.
However, what was even more disturbing was their aggressive and harassing behavior towards other boaters on the water. It made me uncomfortable. It was as if they saw other boats as people to be bullied rather than sharing the beauty of the ocean. I was shocked by their actions and the lack of courtesy they displayed to others. It diminished my experience and shouldn't have been a focus of the excursion.
The reason I'm giving them one star is because they provided water on board. However, this minor convenience cannot overshadow their disregard for the welfare of whales and their aggressive approach towards fellow boaters. It appears that they either have no knowledge of the laws or consciously choose to break them with their reckless boat maneuvering, proximity to the whales, and harassment of other boaters.
If you care about whales and value responsible and respectful wildlife encounters, please go to Moorea instead. Their harassment of other boaters on the water is not only unpleasant but also unsafe for everyone involved. We felt uncomfortable and didn't have a positive experience.

Amazing!!!
We had such a wonderful day with Simon.
He gave us all the very importint instructions to to get this impressive and simultaneously respectful experience with the wales.
We saw 5 whales and could swim with two of them!
With Simon as our guide with his knowledge out of 20 years experiencing it was a perfect day and we love to come back to Bora Bora and do it again!!

We had incredible tours with Tohora Bora Bora. Simon and the other captains are the perfect guides. They have a lot of knowledge and passion for whale watching and lagoon tours, can assess the situations very well. you feel incredibly safe with him. his boat is also very cool

What a magical experience. Being able to see whales while swimming with them was incredible. The crew got us as close as possible while being extremely respectful of these great mammals. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend this tour with Simon and his team. Highly professional and a fun bunch to be out on the water with. We tried this tour with other companies in Moorea, they were terrible. The entire trip and interaction we had with the whales here in Bora Bora was next level and we will never forget this experience. We saw makes, females and calves, sometimes all together. I would highly recommend them, we loved it so much as soon as we got home we booked to go again a few days later. Thanks Simon and Lawrence.

Wow wow wow! Such an amazing experience! We were so fortunate to swim with 5 whales while we were out with the team from Tohora Bora Bora. Laurence and his team are very respectful of the whales and understand that we are in their world and if we disturb them he will not be able to continue with his 20 plus years of swimming with the whales. Laurence ensured we had an incredible experience with these beautiful animals. As the whales were interested in us we experienced them up close and personal which I will remember for the rest of my life.
Do yourself a favour take a morning away from your bungalow and booked this tour. It is safe, respectful and you will not regret it.

My daughter and I took this tour for whale watching, and had the best time ever! Simon and his crew are very knowledgeable, and we saw the whales many times. they were very active this day. My daughter went out twice swimming to get up close to see them and one of them had a calf with her. She was so fortunate. Simon says never give up! Highly recommend!

Incredible opportunity to swim with a humpback whale today for my mom and me. We were very fortunate to be able to do that as it is not with every trip. Simon was incredibly knowledgeable about how to be safe with the whales as well as obtain a great experience due to finding them in the wild, having them chose to swim with us and lastly, be able to be see them from the boat. Today was a day where all three occurred and it was an experience of a lifetime for us. Recommend this experience to strong swimmers as you may have to swim quite a bit over 100 yards/meters. Thank you to Simon and his crew. What an extraordinary day!

Today my daughter and I, have had the whale trip with Simon. My trip was planned a couple of days ago but the weather was not at best hence he suggested to postponed the date, we accepted. Today we have had an example of how together nature and the ability of a man can achieve incredible results. We have had to patience for a while but a whale put on a unique show that left us all speechless for a long time. I had already seen whales in other part of the world, such as Iceland, New Zealand, South Africa, but nothing compared to what we saw today. The difference was made by Simon's ability to move adequately against the mammal. Huge congratulations.

This is one of the coolest tours to do while in Bora Bora. I did the morning tour and it was raining for the first 30 minutes of our tour and we had to wear raincoats. The weather cleared up and we were lucky to spot a whale after 1.5 hours of searching and we slowly followed it. We got into the water and we were lucky to spot it again at a great depth right under us. A few minutes went by and two whales came up and circled around us for a good five minutes. Simon is very passionate about what he does and has eyes all around the island to spot the whales. Definitely recommend giving it a shot while in Bora Bora.
