We will drive through Grand Teton National Park on the way to Yellowstone and make a few stops along the way. The majestic, awe-inspiring Teton Mountain Range of the Rockies is the western edge of Grand Teton Park and Jackson Hole. With no foothills before them, these rugged 11,000-13,000+ peaks rise straight up from the Jackson Hole valley below.

Experience the most iconic geyser in the world erupt with all of its explosive glory.

Stop At: Upper Falls, Yellowstone River, Yellowstone National Park, WY 82190
See, hear and feel the thunderous power of the Yellowstone River plunge 109 feet over Upper Yellowstone Falls.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River, Wyoming 82190, USA
Located on the south rim of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, this canyon overlook offers breathtaking views of both the amazing 308-foot Lower Yellowstone Falls and the spectacular, rhyolite canyon.
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Hayden Valley, Yellowstone National Park, WY 82190
This beautiful, wildlife-rich valley between Yellowstone Lake and Upper Falls straddles the Yellowstone River and is prime habitat for bison, elk, grizzly bears, bald eagles and wolves.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Yellowstone Lake, Grand Loop Road Between Fishing Bridge and Grant Village, Yellowstone National Park, WY 82190
This expansive lake in the largest above 7000 feet in North America, sitting at 7732 feet above sea level and covering 136 square miles.

Stop At: Fountain Paint Pot, Lower Geyser Basin, Yellowstone National Park, WY
Located in the Lower Geyser Basin, this volcanic landscape has all 4 types of active geothermal features in one place, including: geysers, mud pots, hot springs and fumaroles (steam vents).

Perks: Comfy van, hardy meals, unlimited water, and our guide Ben was funny. This tour is good for seeing famous sites in the parks-wildlife viewing is a second priority (wildlife tours are separate but awesome). I liked how we were able to see a couple hours of the Grand Tetons in addition to Lower Yellowstone.
Cons: Long day because you cover so much ground. Bring a phone power bank

This was a great adventure and Yellowstone Day Tours provided an excellent experience. Our guide and driver, Dan was exceptional. He was very knowledgably and made the day trip exciting and enjoyable. I highly recommend the company and Dan in particular. Dan got us to place where we saw Black Bears, Grizzly Bears. Bisons, Deer, Elk, Moose, Foxes, Coyotes and more.

Jeff, was the best guide! He made the day fun and really interesting. We saw a Bear and Bald Eagles, along with countless Moose, Elk and Bison.

We were fortunate enough to have Dan as our guide and he made this day trip the most memorable for my wife and me. He masterfully curated an amazing trip for us and we saw an abundance of wildlife. His expertise afforded us to see bears/grizz, bison, elk, fox, bald eagle and more. I loved Dan's passion, joyfulness, knowledge, and humor, which is unrivaled to any guide.
We left from Jackson and the south entrance was closed so he navigated the long drive to the west entrance. While there was a lot of time spent in the van he made the time fly by with his great humor, trivia, and fun stories.
Breakfast and lunch were provided and stops at various spots for snacks and drinks were made. There is no way we could have packed in this many sites, seen this much wildlife, and gained as much knowledge without taking this tour with Dan and Yellowstone Day Tours.
I would highly recommend this company and ask for Dan as your guide and you won't regret it. It will be the most fulfilling trip of Yellowstone you could ever imagine.

This was a great tour. Our guide Ed accompanied by Tracey were friendly and very knowledgeable. They never made us feel rushed. Plenty of rest stops/bathrooms. We saw lots of wildlife and the hot springs. The breakfast and lunch provided were really good… best we have had on a tour. Ed was a very good driver, we felt comfortable and safe. Tracey recommended a restaurant back in town that had a really good band playing which we really enjoyed that evening. Thank you again. Highly recommended!!

We saw every sort of wildlife imaginable. Elk, deer, moose and bear. It was amazing. Old Faithful did not disappoint. Our guide Jeff was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent experience. It’s a long day but worth it.

Our day with Dan and Yellowstone Day Tours was an absolute highlight of our family vacation in Wyoming. Dan’s passion for nature, especially bears, and his good-natured humor added extra enjoyment to the experience.
Even before entering the park, Dan ensured we had stunning views of moose, setting the tone for the day. Inside Yellowstone, his expertise guided us through its geological wonders, offering fascinating insights at every turn.
The tour’s highlight was the incredible views of grizzly bears right outside our car door. But it didn’t end there; Dan’s dedication and knowledge led us to stunning views of black bears, antelope, and the ubiquitous roadside bison. We even spotted a new bird for dad’s life list, a dusky grouse!
Dan’s encyclopedic knowledge of Yellowstone made the tour both educational and enjoyable. He effortlessly shared facts and stories, enhancing our understanding and appreciation of Yellowstone’s natural wonders. Dan’s exceptional photography skills also provided us with a lifetime of memories!
Overall, our experience exceeded all expectations. We highly recommend Dan’s tours to anyone seeking an unforgettable adventure in Yellowstone National Park.

We had a top notch experience with Yellowstone Day Tours from the start! I initially booked to visit Jackson Hole at the end of April on purpose, I knew it was going to be the end of the off season and we were honeymooning, this would allow us to beat some of the crowds. When I started looking around for tours/things to do, people were not super friendly, but then Brian was kind and informative on the phone and told us exactly was matched the information I found on the internet, it was prime time for wildlife! I booked with Yellowstone Day tours and was not disappointed. My husband and I had so much fun with our tour. Jeff, a Wyoming native was incredibly informative and knowledgable about not only all the wildlife but answered our questions about agriculure and economics...etc. Both my husband and I feel like we learned so much on this tour that we haven't stopped talking about it and it's been 5 days! We saw so much, learned so much and feel like better people. Jeff was so patient, kind and wonderful and I would recommend this tour company to anyone!
