Stop At: Đền Thờ Ngư Ông Phú Lộc, 35FJ+VX6, Thanh Khê Đông, Thanh Khê District, Da Nang, Vietnam

The Ngu Ong Phu Loc temple was built by Thanh An villagers hundreds years ago to worship the ancestors of the fishing village.

The temple's architectural style follows the traditional style used in the fishing villages of Central and South Central Viet Nam, facing towards the East. Its roof is covered by Yin-yang tiles, depicting the images of dragons and unicorns.

This is also the place where the locals hold ceremonies, such as as the spring festival.

But the most important festival for all fishermen in Da Nang is the cau ngu festival, where they wish for prosperity, good weather and bumper harvests.

At a local coffee shop near Old Turtle rock, enjoy sugarcane juice or coffee or cold beer as you cool your body down. Have a panoramic view to Danang and surounding! On the top of the pass are the vestiges of long ago from Minh Mang King Empires, gateway. The gate facing to Hue city is inscribed with 3 words “Hai Van Quan” and the other gate looking down on Da Nang is engraved “the most grandiose gateway in the world”. The entrance gate to Hai Van Quan looks like the entrance to an old fortress with its brick structures.

Historically the pass is of great strategic importance as it provides a natural boundary between northern and central regions. Indeed it is still possible to see bunkers from the Vietnam war along the route.

The twisting 21km pass traverses the Haivan Mountains and affords some incredible views of the mountains and ocean below. Keep an eye out for signs wildlife since guests might be able to see some goats and big birds too.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Lang Co Beach, Hue Vietnam

Lăng Cô is a township in nearby Hue . It has a well known beach and spectacular landscapes. The beach lies at the northern end of Hai Van Pass, and the sands of Lang Co begin just where the mountain switchbacks end. .. Behind the long stretch of beach is a large lagoon, and the lightly populated town area is just a narrow strip

Since human's presence, the cranes have moved away to another village but we will still have chance to look at the breathtaking view of the ocean, village and sandy beach in front of your eyes.

From here, National Road and old railways crossed which allows you to see a long train moves through tunnel and mountains amazingly, its not only a railway but also the history of Viet Nam since the railways was built from the time Viet Nam was one of French Colonies and still nowaways used as one of the main transportation way among other methods.

It was a really lovely and chill way to spend the morning, looking at calming views and swerving through the Hai Van Pass. These were all places I never would have been able to take myself to and overall a very enjoyable time. I went by myself with Bao as my guide and felt safe at all times! I would definitely recommend this as a fun way to spend the morning to other solo travelers. Having been a passenger princess on many bikes, I can attest that Bao is a very safe driver. You could also tell from his words and actions that he puts his guests’ safety first which is very reassuring!! He is also an excellent photographer so you can just enjoy the moment and have wonderfully framed photos of yourself afterwards 😉 Thanks again to Bao and team for a wonderful time!

This was the best adventure I had on my trip. My guide was Chris, who is a legend and was super nice. It was my first time on the back of a scooter and there were no issues at all. We had a super relaxing but exciting day and saw views that no one but a local would know. I am so glad I did this!

Tam was an amazing guide. Very friendly, informative, and fun. I hadn’t ridden a motorbike in years and he adjusted his pace accordingly to accommodate me. His photography skills are top notch; at the end of our tour he airdropped me a bunch of well taken pictures and videos of our tour! The tour itself was beautiful, Hai Van Pass had always been on my travel list and did it not disappoint. If you are a car or bike person you’ll love the undulating ribbons of smooth tarmac and unparalleled scenery. Lunch was very tasty and the cafe (with all the cute puppies) at the top of Hai Van was a great place for a break. Will be recommending Tam and his team to all of my friends back home as “must” for any trip to this beautiful country. Thank you Tam!

This small company came highly recommended by our friend who went on a solo trip to Danang and found them extremely considerate and helpful. When we were in Danang, we signed up for three different companies for different trips in and around Danang. Da Nang scooter adventures was the most helpful, thoughtful, and friendly of them all - they cater to our needs. Instead of scooters, we required a car as we have a 10-year old. They had no problem making sure that we had a car for the Monkey Mountain and local fishing village trip. It was raining that day and there was no monkey on one side of the mountain, and no scenery to speak off because of the fog. But they made sure that we saw the monkeys on the other side of the mountain, took photos for us, gave us helpful tips in Danang. They also gave us restaurant recommendations - even the dishes to order! - AFTER our trip. If you want a perfect tour in Danang, contact them.

I wish I could rate this experience more than 5 stars, that’s how incredible it was! Our guides, Tam & Bao, went above and beyond to create a magical day. This was my first time riding on the back of a motorbike and Bao took extra care to make me feel safe and comfortable for the journey. And after the trip, I can safely say riding on a motorbike is the best way to see the beauty offered by the Hai Van pass. In addition to the scenery, we were treated to a fresh and vibrant seafood meal for lunch. I will be dreaming about the lemongrass clam dish we had for the rest of my life. To top it all off, Tam & Bao made excellent paparazzi and captured our special day so we could focus on enjoying the scenery. If you’re in Da Nang, do this trip. It’s a MUST.

Bao and Khoa were extremely knowledgeable about the Danang which they drove us around on motorbikes . First they explained a little about the local fishing industry, then they took us into the hills, in the rain. They then kindly supplied us with raincoats, helmets and a bag. We stopped at a marvellous coffee place in the lower hills yet still in the clouds. It felt like a dream. Then the final piece de resistance was the beautiful lunch and swimming hole. The fare was exquisite, they catered for our dietary requests superbly! And the food was so gourmet. It was like the shows I used to watch about delicious Vietnamese cuisine when I lived in Australia. But better. There was also the most beautiful swimming hole I’d ever encountered. I highly recommend this tour. It wont disappoint.

Bảo is an adventurous and wise Soul, and a wonderful tour guide, who is authentic, genuinely kind, easygoing, very knowledgeable and informative, thoughtful, helpful, and simply very comfortable to be around. Plus, his English is impressive! This was my first moped tour, and it was a fun, new experience! Plus, Bảo ensured that we stopped for drinks, restroom breaks , and/or breaks in general, which made the ride more comfortable as well. And like others have already shared, he’s also a cautious and great driver, which made me feel safe. The priceless sights of the gorgeous, lush greenery combined with much appreciated sunshine, shade, a blue sky, puffy white clouds, and the vast, multi-blue colored ocean—and even the turquoise lakes and light emerald green lagoon—was BREATHTAKING 😲😃🤩🥰 (as you can see in the photos, though they don’t do justice for the amazing landscapes). I also enjoyed the pleasant fragrances 🌴🌿🌺 of Mother Nature while driving through Hải Vân Pass, while the cool breeze 🌬️ was gently enveloping my body, which is another reason why being fully present within this natural and peaceful environment is a MUST DO experience while visiting Da Nang. Also, Bảo introduced to me what is known as the Queen 👸🏻 of fruits in Vietnam, called mangosteen (see photo). I had never seen, heard of, let alone tried it before, but more people from around the world definitely need to try this delightfully sweet, exotic fruit. 😋 I could probably write a lot more, but since others have shared much details as well, I’ll refrain from writing a novel! 😄 Again, thank you very much 🙏🏼 Bảo for a memorable experience! Continue shining 🌟 bright🌅 Soul Brother! Wishing 🎐🌠 you many blessings 💝 of interconnected 🕸️ Life 🌳🌼. Barbara 🙋🏻‍♀️ Mulantis 🐮🐯|🕊️🐉|💖
