It's a great wildlife watching tour! We provide wetsuits, mask, towels, snorkel, and fins. Arrive at Christmas Cove Marina in Penneshaw 30 minutes prior to departure. You will be fitted into the appropriately sized wetsuit, mask, snorkel, and flippers as well as be provided with a safety brief. Then jump on board our 28 seater vessel in search of the marine life that inhabits the stunning coastline.
Seals often become very active which provides a unique snorkeling experience. KI Ocean Safari is the only operator in South Australia that provides the opportunity to swim nearby the Long-Nosed Seals. Also, have the opportunity to swim alongside dolphins in the wild. This deluxe touring package includes boutique accommodation at Sea Dragon Kangaroo Island and deluxe touring vehicles with a maximum of 10 people. We visit all major attractions at Flinders Chase National Park and Seal Bay as well as visit four local producers on the island, varying from honey and olive oil production, through to Gin or a small micro brewery.
Kangaroo Island has plenty to offer everyone. Enjoy a full day out visiting a number of outlets on the island while taking in spectacular scenery along the way. Visit Clifford's Honey where you will learn about the Ligurian Bee, then stop next at the Eucalyptus Distillery to taste the local eucalyptus and enjoy some cider tastings. Head to Emu Bay Lavender Farm for morning tea. Enjoy wine tasting at Bay of Shoal Wines while taking in the breathtaking views. Enjoy lunch at either Kangaroo Island Fresh Seafood or Cactus Cafe, before heading to Kangaroo Island Spirits to experience some award winning gin. If time permits, we will stop at one more winery along the way before heading back to your accommodation.
FULL DAY ITINERARY: The first stop on your journey will be Dudley Wine. Here you will find a selection of their quality wine and soak up the spectacular view across Backstairs Passage.
A short drive up the road will take you to False Cape Wines. The rustic charm and idyllic setting among the gum trees and vineyard makes this cellar door a great place for a glass of wine and homemade pies and platters!
We will then travel back to Cygnet River , "Capital of the Wine Industry" in Kangaroo Island. Here we will visit The Islander Estate at Cygnet River and taste the only 5-star James Halliday rated wines of the the island.
We will visit the cellar door at Spring Roads Wines. Their vineyard was established in 1994 on a small sheep property about 7km west of Kingscote.
We will then travel back to Kingscote and we will stop at Bay of Shoals Wines, overlooking the picturesque vineyards and sheltered bay.
After an enjoyable day, we will take you back to your hotel, or to the Airport/Ferry
Enjoy panoramic views as you set off, including the amazing views at Pennington Bay, along the rugged south coast of Kangaroo Island. Pelican Lagoon provide glimpses of a few Aussie bird life favourites and don’t forget to keep an eye out for wild kangaroos!
Visit the township of Kingscote, the largest town on the island and South Australia’s oldest European settlement. Here you will enjoy a scenic drive past Reeve’s Point, originally designated to be the Capital of South Australia, a stop over at Island Beehive, and enjoy free time to explore the nearby beach, visit cafe’s and chat with locals.
Silo Art in Kingscote has become a fan favourite. Marvel at the largest Kangaroo in Australia and the Glossy Black Cockatoo. An amazing photo opportunity!

Travel to the west end - a huge wilderness in a series of conservation parks, a national park and wilderness protection areas. Break for morning tea en-route and learn about a century of conservation activities.
Explore the massive natural shapes of Remarkable Rocks - looking like some dramatic natural sculpture perched impossibly on top of a dome of granite emerging from the ocean.
Visit Admirals Arch - a coastal grotto where a large colony of long-nosed fur-seals swim effortlessly through the crashing waves.
Lunch today is a picnic enjoyed on the cliff tops or in the bush and consists of poached chicken, local cheeses, fresh fruit, a salad prepared on the spot and a choice of fine Kangaroo Island wines.
After lunch, get off the beaten path to explore some of the lesser known places seeking out more wildlife encounters. Depending on season, we visit "Grassdale" to experience some pioneer heritage or seek out kangaroos lazing in the field.
Take a stroll and observe the amazing and beautiful Koalas relaxing in the Eucalyptus trees.
These run for 90 minutes in our “supervised only” areas where our guides will take you straight to where the action is!.

Firstly visit Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery and enjoy a light morning break while keeping an eye out for the local Emu mob.
Head in to the iconic Flinders Chase National Park. The parks must-see sights include Admiral’s Arch, a beautiful natural rock arch shaped by the powerful Southern Ocean, and the sculptured granite boulders known as Remarkable Rocks.
Lunch is at the gorgeous Vivonne Bay, voted one of Australia’s top beaches. Next stop on this day of wildlife and sights is the Kangaroo Island Raptor Domain. You’ll enjoy the chance to get up close and personal with some of the most beautiful but deadly birds in the world.
