We pick you up in Marrakech and drive out to the lake at Lalla Takerkoust for an hour and half horse riding near the rocky Agafay Desert. Views from here are outstanding with the backdrop of the High Atlas mountains. Our trip takes us up onto the Kik Plateau, sometimes called the breadbasket of the area; it is an elevated plateau where the fields are still ploughed by man and donkeys, and where each family has a plot of land to grow wheat. In the afternoon, we discover two of the valleys in this part of the High Atlas as we drive through hidden villages where life goes on in time honoured fashion. We pass through the forested trails of Sidi Faress and descend to the fertile Ourika Valley before returning you to Marrakech.
