Art is a vibrant part of modern life and this tour highlights the creative expression we see in Kigali through Rwandan contemporary art.
You will have the chance to meet with the contemporary artists of Kigali, engage with local artisans, appreciate public art and learn about the history of art and culture in Rwanda.
Experience has been carried out by artist Maria Cruz Urquijo, with more than 25 years of experience in painting and sculpture. Based in Paraty, she runs her atelier in the Historic Centre, showing her story through her artistic path.
The Art- Painting class is divided into 4 steps:
1 - Brief introduction to the art with sketching exercises, using the fingers or the pencils. Along with a pleasant discussion of the creative process.
2 - Choose format and material to start painting and get to work on your creation.
3 - Coffee break and discuss about production
4 - Finish details of the paiting

Freestyle Acrylic Painting is a class where you get to do whatever theme of a painting you would like while learning. Do you have a painting idea you would like to paint and would like to do it with the guidance of an instructor? This class is great for a beginner, student or recreational painter who enjoys being around other painters.

While giving special and personalized attention to everyone, he makes sure that no one misses out on any information or learning. The workshop is held at his studio only, so the participants also get to see the maestro's personal exhibits.
Pichwai itself comes from the Sanskrit words, ‘pitch’ which means back and ‘wais’ meaning hanging. It, therefore, means traditional paintings that are hanging behind the idol of Shrinathji on the walls of the temples located in Nathdwara district.
The art piece created at the end of the workshop can be taken back as a souvenir along with a certificate.
In this personalized live experience of Gold Emboss painting, the participants will learn under the mentor Dr. Jyoti Swaroop Sharma, an expert on painting on oil or watercolor, realistic art, or traditional style artist. He is also an expert in painting and embossing on leather with gold and silver. He received the State Award for mastering gold emboss on leather in 1992 and the National Award in 1999.
While giving special and personalized attention to everyone, he makes sure that no one misses out on any information or learnings. The workshop is held at his studio only, so the participants also get to see the maestro's personal exhibits.
Emboss painting is a form of painting on a cloth which when ironed, appears to be raised or embossed, giving it a beautiful 3-d appearance.
The art piece created at the end of the workshop can be taken back as a souvenir along with a certificate.
The experience will allow the participants to engage directly with artisans and learn the art of Mithila Painting while gaining insights into their lives as well as the art's significance. This experience goes beyond mere observation as the participants are able to create their own Mithila painting and carry it back home as a memento.

The tuition can be tailored to your interests, from academic painting and drawing techniques to more experimental approaches. Sessions can take place in the garden when working from the landscape, or in the dedicated artist studio if the weather is wet.
Your tutor is a British professional artist who has exhibited internationally and relocated to Italy 3 years ago to create a tiny oasis of creativity in the rolling hill of Monferrato.
The session length is customisable, but a recommendation is 4 hours as it gives time for a good amount of work split into two halves, with a break for tea/coffee, local wine and a light lunch.

This Make-&-Take class uses some of the basics of weaving to teach participants how to create their own dream catcher. Participants will use 4 colors of thread to create decorative tassels that hang down from the dream catcher as well as learn how to add beads and feathers to their finished project.
The Inspired Art Kits include all of the instructions and materials needed to create your one of a kind piece, and can be created either in the studio or the kit can be taken with and created where ever and whenever the participant would like to create!
This Make & Take class uses some of the basics of photography to help create this unique project! Each participant leaves with a piece that is uniquely theirs! It's a great project that makes a wonderful souvenir of Colorado!
