The longest running surf school in Lahaina, Goofy Foot was established in Lahaina, Maui in April, 1994 by the Owner/Instructor Tim Sherer to perpetuate his relationship with Mother Ocean and to teach the ancient Hawaiian sport of surfing.
At Goofy Foot Surf School we feel it is a privilege to teach surfing. Our primary focus is on giving each student the best and safest surfing experience possible. All Catman Surf School lessons start on the sand with ocean awareness and safety. We’ll go over the basics on how to position yourself on the board, paddling, and how to pop up. Afterwards, we’ll transition to the surf, followed by your first go at small white water waves. Your safety always come first, and Sergio will be by your side every step of the way. Once in the water, he’ll show you how to read the waves, position your take off, and the etiquette of wave riding. His private lessons are built to make your adventure on the waves one to remember. We are a FUN SURF LA surf school based on Venice Beach. Our goal is for you to have an excellent experience surfing, whether it's your first time trying surfing or you are trying to advance your skills. For the first 30-40 minutes we will be training on the beach - then it’s one hour with the instructors in the ocean. The remaining time is yours to practice your skills and have fun with the surfboards that we provide you.
We’ll be giving lessons on Venice Beach - one of the most famous beaches in California. You’ll be able to not only enjoy the ocean and get surfing experience, but also explore the unique spirit of the eccentric cultural hub of Venice Beach.
This is a culture-based experience class. Under the instruction of our grand masters, you’ll not only study the basic gestures of Tai Chi or Kung Fu forms, but also be inspired to understand the important oriental culture component- Taoism, Yin Yang , Qi (internal energy)and the essense of martial arts.
In our Tai Chi class you will learn how to introduce “ qi” through Tai Chi movments,simple but useful methods that helps relief tension in our body and mind. Standing meditation, pushing hands will also be introduced to complete your understanding towards it.
We offer you a certified mountain guide and rock climbing instructor to enjoy a guided rock climbing trip in Montserrat, Barcelona. Or we can go to other spot climbing if you prefer. There are lot of crags in a day-trip from Barcelona. We provide all the technical gear (individual and collective) except climbing shoes (rent possible). We will climb according your climbing level. There are options of 1 or several-day trips, whether you’re a first-timer or seasoned climber. Insurance is included in the price.There are hundreds of routes waiting for you.

Training is accompanied by certified instructors, and students are grouped by age and experience level, ensuring that the number of students per class allows close and dedicated monitoring by the instructor. In surf lessons for beginners the basic principles of surfing such as paddling, surf tackle techniques, take off (board stand technique), stance (correct board posture) and wave trimming are trained.
Experience the best of the Santa Barbara coastline during an introductory surfing lesson at Mondo's Beach. Learn the basics with an instructor who focuses on the fundamentals of reading water, paddling, popping up, and riding as well as surf etiquette during your 2-hour lesson.
