Inspired by the African Serengeti but located just outside Melbourne, the 556-acre (225-hectare) Werribee Open Range Zoo provides an African-style safari adventure without leaving Australia. Werribee Open Range Zoo is home to hundreds of rare and exotic animals as well as Australian native critters, all of them living in spacious natural enclosures. Admission includes a 40-minute bus safari that brings you close to grassland animals that roam through open fields. Check out daily zoo keeper talks and set your own pace for this family-friendly activity.
ArtVo is an immersive art or ‘trick art’ gallery, where you are encouraged to touch the art and become part of the art by taking photographs from designated points on the floors of the gallery.
There are 9 themed zones to explore with over 80 hand painted immersive installations just minutes from Melbourne CBD.
And there’s a new theme - Fantasy - spanning the entire course of the gallery. The Fantasy theme will see people explore the ocean, polar ice caps, space and the forest. Plus, the dreamscape art will see some very exciting interactive experiences.
Getting to ArtVo is easy. Catch the tram- the FREE City Circle (35), 70 or 86 tram- to Waterfront City/Docklands stop D11 or jump in the car and head to The District Docklands East or West multi-level car parks, where parking is easy.
Experience your own African safari with an open vehicle adventure at Werribee Open Range Zoo! In this behind the scenes encounter you will meet an expert guide and head off road where you will be completely immersed in the sights, smells and sounds of the Savannah as you travel across the Zoo's open plains spotting rhinoceros, giraffe, zebra and antelopes!

Gain entry into the Healesville Sanctuary, an animal refuge crawling with creatures that are all native to Australia.
