Scuba dive without a certification! There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time! It takes a little time getting used to it, but after a few minutes of breathing through a regulator most participants realize how easy scuba diving really is. The biggest challenge instructors have with the Try Scuba Diving is not getting participants into the water, but getting them out when the program is over. You enter the water and, after a short surface swim, descend on a condemned pier that has transformed into a vibrant reef. Schools of fish surround the wreckage that has accumulated colorful corals and sponges.
Turtles swim all around in organized chaos as you search for camouflaged frogfish, making it hard to decide where to look. You follow your instructor as they lead you through the obstacle course of the wreck, swimming under and through the old dock where you spot a pregnant reef shark resting under a section of cement and pause to admire her beauty. As you make your way back to your starting point you focus on the multitude of turtles that gracefully soar through the clear water.
You can admire the suggestive Costa degli Dei, starting from Tropea seen from a new perspective; you will admire the sandstone historic buildings, the white sand beaches and the wild coves where we will find the Blue Grotto, the Bay of Riaci, the ancient Roman port with natural pools to reach the imposing Praia i Focu where you will be enchanted by a crystal clear sea unique in the world and wild nature

After your dive in Casa cenote we will enjoy a local mayan lunch followed by a boat ride out to the open ocean and go for a scuba dive on the Tulum Barrier reef. Your first certification is a license to learn more! Performance-based, after this course you will have the knowledge and skills to plan and execute a dive to a maximum of 18 meters with a certified buddy.
Day 1 - Academics + Diving
Meet your instructor, fellow students and start the first academic session. Short break for lunch before jumping into your confined skills session for the afternoon.
Day 2 - Academics + Diving Skills
Start academic session in the morning before heading for the afternoon boat for confined water training skills dives 1 and 2 with a maximum depth of 12m at 2 different dive sites around Koh Tao.
Day 3 - Diving + Exam
Enjoy 2 dives at a maximum depth of 18 meters, which is the maximum allowed for an open water diver! On some of the best dive sites around Koh Tao, last day is purely fun diving, no training, no exercises, just diving! After completing your last 2 dives we will be doing the final exam at the school!
Spend the day cruising off the Dominican Republic’s coast on a Catamaran bound for Catalina Island. Listen to live music and sip drinks from the open bar before diving in to snorkel on “The Wall” with the snorkel equipment provided. A beachside lunch, round-trip transportation, and snorkeling equipment are all included in the tour.
