A surf lesson with us is a unique experience that cannot be replicated anywhere in the world. We offer surf lessons and rentals that are tailored to your level of surf experience. Your comfort and safety in the water are our top priority. We offer local knowledge of the region and the wave that can only be provided through native, local instruction based on a lifetime of experience. We offer lessons in English and in Spanish to accommodate the language needs of our students. Tamarindo beach hosts a world class learning wave that is perfect for everyone from beginners on a soft top board, to more advanced short boarders and everything in between. We work with all ages and ability levels. We will customize your lesson to suit your individual needs based on your level of experience. We love to teach children, teenagers, adults and elders. We also offer easy and direct reservations to jungle boat safari tours and horseback riding on the beach upon request.
The Surf Lessons are offered 7 days a week all year round. We find the best location depending on tides and the surf break conditions choosing the best spot on the Bukit’s peninsula of Bali for every lesson. You will find infinite waves in this surfer's paradise.
The longest running surf school in Lahaina, Goofy Foot was established in Lahaina, Maui in April, 1994 by the Owner/Instructor Tim Sherer to perpetuate his relationship with Mother Ocean and to teach the ancient Hawaiian sport of surfing.

All Catman Surf School lessons start on the sand with ocean awareness and safety. We’ll go over the basics on how to position yourself on the board, paddling, and how to pop up. Afterwards, we’ll transition to the surf, followed by your first go at small white water waves. Your safety always come first, and Sergio will be by your side every step of the way. Once in the water, he’ll show you how to read the waves, position your take off, and the etiquette of wave riding. His private lessons are built to make your adventure on the waves one to remember. Enjoy a 90-minute surf lesson with all equipment such as wetsuits, surfboards, leash, wax, surf booties included. You will be accompanied by certified surf instructors. Come and enjoy a great time. There are 23 surfboards, shortboards, funboards, longboards, soft tops, paddle boards and more. You'll get a great view from the water to the edge of the city and be able to admire the colorful buildings on the cliff top.
Learn how to surf at the birth place of Surfing! We are conveniently located in the heart of Waikiki, right on the beach. We are only steps away from the ocean.
Private group surf lessons require a minimum of 2 people to participate, and up to 5 students can be together in one group. You must be able to swim and over 12 years old to take this lesson. If you are 12 yrs and younger, you must take one-on-one private lessons instead of group lessons .If you want to maximize your time in the water, sign up for one-on-one private lessons.

Training is accompanied by certified instructors, and students are grouped by age and experience level, ensuring that the number of students per class allows close and dedicated monitoring by the instructor. In surf lessons for beginners the basic principles of surfing such as paddling, surf tackle techniques, take off (board stand technique), stance (correct board posture) and wave trimming are trained.
