The tour starts in front of Pirbadet. It continues to a modern part of the city called Solsiden where many locals spend their free time enjoying themselves outside the cafés and restaurants. We proceed along the river Nid and the colorful warehouses. After that we head to one of the oldest areas of the town – Bakklandet – which has managed to preserve its charming wooden architecture. In Bakklandet is where you also find the world's only bicycle lift. We leave Bakklandet behind crossing over the famous old town bridge with "The Portal of Happiness". Then we arrive at Nidaros Cathedral, Norway's national monument. Nidaros Cathedral is built over the tomb of St. Olav, Norway's patron saint. We carry on to the Market Square (Torget). Here, the Viking King Olav Tryggvason, the city's founder, is enthroned above the vibrant square in the shape of a statue. Our next stop is Stiftsgården, the royal residence, and passing Britannia Hotel before heading back to the harbour.

Leaving the center and entering the beautiful Rauma Valley, along the Rauma River filled with salmon and the impressive mountains on both sides, our journey takes us to the first photo stop at the Trollwall.
After getting our first impression of the imposing mountain scenery, we will continue towards Trollstigen. We will cross over the "Sogge Bridge" into the beautiful Isterdal Valley, where the spectacular "Trollstigen" serpentine road begins. Our coach driver will take us up 11 hairpin bends to the plateau, where we will have the next photo stop. From a spectacular lookout, we can see the entire scenery of this impressive mountain road, including the surrounding peaks and the wild Stigfossen waterfall. After a definitely unforgettable time on the top of Trollstigen, the route descends back down to Åndalnes. The route takes us through the small town of Odda, which lies at the far end of the Hardangerfjord. We then drive through the 11 km long Folgefonn Tunnel. Our ferry leaves Jondal at 17:20, the crossing takes about 20 minutes. The return journey to your hotel then only takes 1.5 hours.

We cannot predict when lady aurora shows up, but we are lucky to have a location with very little light pollution and beautiful nature to experience this phenomenon in all its splendour!
After a sleigh ride of about 30 minutes, you will head towards the fence and feed our lovely reindeers.
Right after, you will head to our Gamme-hut where you will enjoy some hot drinks and you will get to taste our reindeer stew or our hearty vegan soup.
When we are all comfortable, our Sami guide will tell you more about the Sami culture and history, they will show you some of our traditional crafts.
At the end of the tour, when the rest of the group heads back to Tromsø, you will be accompanied to your tent where you will learn how to keep yourselves warm through the night, just like it has been done for centuries, in what we call “hot tent camping”.
