Guided hike to Pulpit Rock Preikestolen

This trip will take you on one of Norway’s most popular and spectacular hikes. It is for good reason that this hike has gained its popularity with visitors to Norway and locals alike. Situated only a few hours from Stavanger, Pulpit Rock - or Preikestolen in Norwegian - is a towering cliff-plateau directly suspended over Lysefjorden. To stand (or sit) so close to the edge is probably the moment that hikers look forward to the most, although it is no easy deed. The top offers unobstructed views over the meandering blue fjord that was formed by the glaciers during the last Ice Age, making it a good spot to enjoy a photo session and possibly a light snack.

Mjelle Beach - Easy Coastal Day Hike to Bodos no 1 Beach, Northern Norway

Walk on gemstones? Mjelle Beach is listed on TripAdvisor as one of the most popular things to do while visiting Bodø. A day trip to Mjelle is popular among locals and a great place for a quick getaway from Bodø. The sand of this secluded beach is both white and red. The red sand takes its colour from gemstone particles (garnet minerals).

Ideal for children: Getting to the Mjelle Beach is an easy stroll even for young ones, as it’s only a 30-minute walk from the car park. For young children, the beach is a giant sandpit with free rocks and shells.
