Join us on this 4-hour fjord cruise to the scenic Osterfjord and Mostraumen Channel. Experience the once-in-a-lifetime thrill of traveling through the majestic Norwegian fjords on a scenic boat tour departing from Bergen. On board the high speed catamaran you will experience the magnificent landscape in Bergen's nearby fjords and the Nordhordland region. When sailing out from Bergen's inner harbor you will have a great view to some of the oldest and most relevant historical sites in the city, including the medieval fortress Bergenhus, St Mary's Church and the colorful Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf, which is on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. From there, we sail through beautiful Western-Norwegian scenery in the Cityfjord, Salhusfjord and Osterfjord towards the dramatic Mostraumen Channel. After pick-up in Bergen, we start the journey to the village of Gudvangen, and on the way we make a stop at Tvinde Waterfall where you can walk right up to the foot of the large waterfall. In the summer months we also stop at Stalheim where there is a breathtaking view down to the Naeröydal valley with steep mountains on all sides.
Well ahead in Gudvangen we board the electric ship "Future of the Fjords" to Flåm. The Unesco World Heritage site Nærøyfjord is surrounded by high mountains and is a beautiful sight both in summer and winter.
From Flåm, the trip continues with the dramatic and world-famous Flåm Railway which is one of the world's steepest railways. The 20-km train journey gives you a panoramic view of some of the wildest and most magnificent of Norwegian mountain nature, including the famous Kjosfossen waterfall. At Myrdal station, a train changes to the Bergen Railway which takes you to Voss where you are picked up and the car will take you back to Bergen.
This new tour in 2024 takes you to the Hardangerfjord, the third longest fjord in the world and one of the most beautiful regions in this wonderful country.
On this tour, you will discover breathtaking landscapes at a leisurely and relaxed pace. We start after breakfast and bring you back to your hotel in time for dinner. You will learn a lot about the country and its people on this tour.
We take our lunch break at Norheimsund, you also have the opportunity to visit a cider farm, from where you have a wonderful view of the fjord.
We stop at a viewpoint at the Hardanger Bridge. Later the route takes us through the small town of Odda, which lies at the far end of the Hardangerfjord.
Here norwegian waffles and coffee await us here in a very cozy bistro, right on the fjord.
We then drive through the 11 km Folgefonn Tunnel.
Our ferry leaves Jondal at 18:20, the crossing takes about 20 minutes. The return journey to your hotel then only takes 1.5 hours.
