In 2005, the Nærøyfjord was incorporated on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

The trip continues with the Flåm Railway which is one of the world's steepest railway tracks on normal tracks. The 20 km long train journey from Flåm to Myrdal gives you a panoramic view of some of the wildest and most magnificent of Norwegian mountain nature. At Myrdal station a train changes to the Bergen Line which takes you back to Bergen.

In Flåm, you will have enough time for your lunch break, before you will board the fjord cruise to Gudvangen. This eco-friendly vessel will take you on a relaxing ride along the picturesque waterways, offering breathtaking views of the towering mountains and crystal-clear waters.

At Gudvangen you will have some free time, before the same bus will take you back to Bergen and drop you off at at the same place where you got on.

Our next stop will be at the delightful fishing village of Bud with a nice view on Bjørnsund Island. The next highlight is the 407m high Varden viewpoint.
